Not Just for the Beach Anymore: Sarongs

When someone mentions the word sarong, you are probably immediately transported in your mind to a remote sandy beach where you lay lounging in a patio chair sipping a fruity cocktail. A sarong has been a mainstream beach accessory for women for decades. They provide women with both confidence and warmth on the beach. Some women prefer tying them traditionally around the waist, while others tap into their creativity to invent entirely new ways to drape their sarong. Smiley

Sparkles Sarong

Today's modern woman has embraced the sarong as more than just a beach cover up. With a huge range of colors, materials, styles and lengths to choose from, women are scooping up sarongs by the dozens and adding them to their day-to-day wardrobe. A quick visit and search of any fashion blog or online video site will yield thousands of sarong-related videos. You can search for tutorials on how to tie a sarong, new ways to wear a sarong and how to find the perfect sarong to complement your features. You will become inspired by the ideas you find online. Celtic Sarong

A sarong constructed from cotton or silk provides the perfect amount of coverage and thickness for creating the ever-popular halter sarong dress. A hand-painted or sequin-adorned sarong makes a great maxi skirt when paired with a classic solid tank top, chain belt and pair of stiletto heels for a night out on the town. A featherweight or jersey patterned sarong drapes beautifully and is light and pliable enough to create a gorgeous halter top. A half or mini sarong is not just ideal for the beach; you can also wear it as a shawl or wrap at a summer wedding or as the temperature drops suddenly.

Lotus Floral Sarong

Most retail stores only offer these versatile wraps during swimsuit season. They may also carry a limited selection of styles and colors. When you shop for a sarong online, you can enjoy the convenience of year-round availability and choose from an abundance of styles and colors to suit your personality. senyumkenyit

Abstract Rose Sarong

An online boutique like FairWinds specializes in beach-related apparel and accessories. When you choose a sarong from an online specialty boutique, you can enjoy the convenience of in-home delivery and play with new ways to tie it from the comfort and convenience of your bedroom. Many online beach specialty stores will also offer free shipping. FairWinds offers free priority shipping on all orders over fifty dollars.

My Shoe Confession!

As much as I love the ankle booties I purchased especially for my London vacation, I have a confession to make! One I did not want to admit earlier especially to B because I knew he'd give me his "I told you so" look. takbole

So I silently endured the first few days of our vacation wearing my bootie heels. I braved through the pain and discomfort because I love the way my heels looked on me. But as awesome as they were, I hereby sadly admit that my lovely booties were just not comfortable enough to withstand the endless walking we did while vacationing.

Me and my booties

Usually, I'd bring two pairs of shoes including a pair of
sneakers while on vacation. This recent one however, I was quite strict with my packing and left my sneakers behind; refusing to add additional weight to my luggage. Truth was, I was planning a shopping spree and needed all the space I could get to stuff in my buys later!
ihikhik

Gorgeous ankle booties from Liz Claiborne!

To be fair to my lovely ankle booties, I did enjoy wearing and walking around in them for the first three days. Day 4 saw the pain starting to kick in and by the end of Day 5; I returned to our hotel with a pair of Footglove shoes from Marks & Spencer! I finally surrendered to the call of a new pair of comfy flat shoes since there was still plenty of walking, shopping and sight-seeing remaining on our agenda. penat

A little shorter with my Footglove flats

Anyway, they're off-white and the last pair available was in my size 7; kind of meant to be I guess! And yes, I did appreciate the immediate immense difference it made to my feet and I do admit that I walked a lot faster and easier with my new comfy
women's flats. malu

So you win Love and I do deserve that "
I told you so". Worry no more however for I will DEFINITELY go back to practising my two-pairs-shoes-including-sneakers rule on our next getaway! When will that be? rindu

Chaotic Closet!

I've been down in the dumps lately. Demotivated is the word and I simply don't have the drive to blog, drop EC, or go on my usual blog hopping round. A little cheering up is in order and what better way to say goodbye to my moody blues than by shopping for women's clothing right?

Seriously, I need a whole new wardrobe so
Out with the old and In with the new, which is my motto this shopping year. Right now, opening my closet has become a chore; there are so many shoe boxes, bags, perfumes and even gifts hidden inside my extremely chaotic closet and they sometimes fall out when I open the door. ihikhik

I also have tons of clothes stuffed inside and some of them I've never even worn. I bought them on sale obviously and totally forgot about my new buys. In fact, while deciding what to wear for dinner last night, I came across two bags from Marks & Spencer. Inside I found a new pair of women's jeans and two trendy women's tops I apparently purchased last year! So that was a pleasant find and I wonder what else I can dig out from my chaotic closet! gelakguling

How messy is your closet by the way? Mine looks like a pig sty at the moment so shame on me! Always the organized neat freak, you would never believe that of me should you open m
y closet right now. Perhaps it's time to get a new closet; a bigger one so I'd have more space to stuff all my things! Let me start with some serious spring cleaning first though so I'll see you later! Smiley

Trendy Tots

Perhaps it is a good thing Baby Issy is living far away in UK right now instead of here in Malaysia. Otherwise, I'd be buying her so many gifts and clothes for everywhere I turn, I see something cool that's meant just for kids like this adorable wrap dress for instance. Can you picture Baby Issy in this little dress? Oh my!

Clothes for kids are getting so trendy nowadays; I sometimes wish I was a kid again just so I could buy all the adorable outfits for myself! Have you seen the latest range of fashionable trendy children's clothing from Tea Collection? I just came from there and I absolutely love the store! My readers with kids should definitely visit this clothing online store, no regrets guaranteed! tepuktangan

A great addition to the beautiful clothing line for both girls and boys at Tea Collection is the affordability of items offered. It's just amazing what you can get for US$50 so mothers and aunts or anybody in need of great gift items, new sleepwear or designer baby clothes for your lil' ones - DON'T give this a miss! Smiley

Happy shopping and I hope you're enjoying the last few hours of the weekend. My hubby is finally going back to work after three weeks at home so I have to soak up every bit of our quality time remaining before my freelancing from home routine kicks back! Smiley
