I Heart Faces

The theme this week at I Heart Faces is Crazy, Funny, Silly Faces. Well, I just could not resist this one of Caresse from a few weeks back. I was playing with light and back ground, not really caring about the faces she was making. So she was just messing around and did her famous Pye-Pye face. When I uploaded it and saw the face, I just loved it because it is so fun.

I Love Faces

The fun theme this week at I Love Faces is Beach. I couldn't resist this fun picture of my brother with Landon. The whole family helped build the sand Ford, but my brother is an engineer and very creative, so it really was his design. After they finished I told Kim to pull his truck up behind the sand truck, and there you have it...this fun picture that I call "what a little truck wants to be when it grows up."

I Love Faces

This weeks theme at I Love Faces is so fun!!! It is "Lets Hear It For The Boys!"

For my Adult Entry: I chose this picture of two precious young men in Uganda. Their names are Kenny and Tonny. They became "sons" to me while we were in Africa. This picture shows their extremely loving hearts. We were visiting an orphanage and Kenny and Tonny played with and held the little ones the whole time we were there.

For my Kid Entry: How could I pass up my Garett playing near a stream!!

There are so many amazing pictures at I Love Faces, so visit the site to see some other great boy photos!

I Love Faces

This week’s theme at I Love Faces is: "My Favorite Face Photo" for the "Blurb Photo Book” Contest.

I am entering this one in the amateur catagory. I just love the feel of this photo with Caresse "set apart" from the background, yet the color of the back ground "sets off" Caresse.

Be sure to visit I Love Faces to join the fun!

"I am submitting this photo into the http://www.iheartfaces.com/ Blurb Book photo contest. I am granting I ♥ Faces permission to use my photo in a printed version of a book for commercial use and possibly advertising of a photo book on both the Blurb and I ♥ Faces web sites."

I Love Faces

Theme: "Self-Portrait"
"For both categories, you must take the photo and you must be holding the camera when you take it (you can’t use a tripod or anything else to hold the camera for you.)" So, you can see from the rules, we were suppose to take pictures of ourselves alone and with our children.
WOW. This was hard and I do not like taking pictures of me OR sewing! None the less, in the name of learning...Here are my entries...

For my kid entry....I couldn't even get all my children in the picture, which was fine, because the other 3 were sleeping for nap time.

For my adult entry....
my favorite place in the world...my home!

This week at I Love Faces, the themes are Easter/Spring and Amateurs.

For my Easter/Spring entry:
I chose this picture of my sweet friend. I had on purpose place the flowers in front of her and liked the way she seems "lost" in her thoughts and in the flowers.

I Love Faces

The theme this week at I Love Faces is Pouting (kids), and any thing goes (pets).

My kids entry: Poor little Aiden's hands had gotten really cold before I could get gloves on and wrap him up. Finally settled in the sled, he looked at me with tears in his eyes and said "tankoo Mommy".
My pet entry: Steve, Kalyn and I ran out in the freezing snow so that I could get a picture of Bluez. He was really unhappy, so Kalyn picked him up to warm him for a second and he immediately crawling onto her back and began barking at the neighbor dogs. So here is our "fierce" dog!

I Love Faces - No Flash

At I Love Faces the theme this week is - No Flash

For my adult entry: I took this picture of my mom outside as we were all flying kites and having so much fun. I was determined to not use a flash even though the sun was going, going, gone. There were so many quick motions and I liked the way everything actually blurred except moms excited face.

For my kid entry: we were sitting on our window box in the school room, and Corban came over and lay down on my leg and looked up at me with those beautiful, brown eyes of his. Who could resist that!

I Love Faces - Creative Crop

FIRST of all, thank you my sweet friends for leaving your encouraging and precious comments on the hair failure post. Ya'll are wonderful!!!

Here are my pictures for this weeks theme at I Love Faces - Creative Crop

I prefer to use creative cropping in my camera instead of in post precessing if at all possible. There are just so many more options to crop a picture the way I want it and in a way that the environment around the subject is complementing the crop...so

For my kid entry: I used creative cropping for this picture of Kiana because I wanted to show her beautiful long hair. I like how it all came together.

For my adult entry: I used creative cropping for this picture of my husband because I wanted to get the setting sun light in the picture also. And since he is the father of 10, he is looking down quiet a bit...he was talking to Kiana who was patiently sitting and waiting for me.
You can enter your photos at I Heart Faces. Have fun and thank you for dropping by.
