Yes! All Penn Museum Memberships are 100% tax-deductible. If you need a tax form, please email membership@pennmuseum.org.

  • If you are visiting the Museum and have purchased single tickets, you may apply the cost of your tickets by speaking to a Visitor Services or Shop staff member.
  • You are eligible for special discounts up to one month after your visit! Contact Membership at membership@pennmuseum.org or 215.898.5093.

To purchase a Gift Membership online, select the checkbox that reads "Check here if purchasing a gift Membership" and complete the requested information.

Your member benefits begin the moment you join. If you would like to visit the Museum before you receive your membership card, the Visitor Services and Shop staff can confirm your membership with your government-issued ID.

When will I receive my Membership card?

Visitor Services and Shop staff will be able to confirm your membership with your government-issued ID.

Registering for an online account enables you to purchase public programs with your Membership discount and register for Members-only events. This account must match the primary email address we have for you. If you need assistance, please call the Membership Office at 215.898.5093.

To register for a Members-only event or purchase public programs at the Member rate, you must first register your online account and ensure that you are logged in. Discounts will appear in the cart.

Members at the Friends & Family level are invited to bring two free guests on any visit. All members are invited to bring guests for free on Member Guest Sundays, the last Sunday of every month (one free guest per cardholding Member).

Members at the Friends & Family level enjoy reciprocal benefits at participating museums throughout the country through the North American Reciprocal Museums Program (NARM) and the Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM). Be sure to contact the host museum to verify their reciprocal admission policies; many museums do not extend reciprocal privileges to members of other institutions within a radius of up to 50 miles.

It takes up to two weeks to receive and process a renewal payment. If you recently renewed, please disregard any additional notices.

Community Library Pass

The Community Library Pass (CLP) program expands Museum access by making Family Membership passes available to public library cardholders through their local libraries.

The CLP provides complimentary admission to the Penn Museum for 2 adults and any household children under the age of 18. The CLP does not include benefits like discounts in the Museum Shop or Museum Cafe, or discounted event registration fees.

Libraries are invited to purchase a CLP at an annual cost of $250. To purchase or renew a CLP, please contact Membership at 215.898.5093 or membership@pennmuseum.org.
