Good morning! Round here life is moving pretty fast. Yesterday was packing day. Above that's all my Stamp Pad storage towers getting black plastic shrink wrapped so I won't have to completely unpack everything once we get to Spokane! The black plastic may or may not be so that the driver cannot see any of my ...well...more liquid items that are not supposed to be going onto the moving truck, but who wants to move while toting a large basket of acrylic paint?
Now everything in the house is packed and ready for the movers to come take it away. I'm fairly certain that now matter how much we've talked to the boys and explained what's happening and gone over the steps, that they had no clue we were actually moving. Yesterday I spent an hour with Gabe sorting legos to make a pile of special legos that would be packed in their own box. When he came home from school and saw the box he freaked out. He could not believe that the movers boxed his special legos and that they would be going on the moving truck! Max was similarly dazed and confused when he went to choose his afternoon costume form the dress up box. Every day after school he either puts on his jammies (ninja turtle costume jammies) or spend the afternoon as whatever superhero catches his eye. I saved Robin back so he'd still have his favorite costume but he was distraught that we had no dress up box. After helping Gabe and Max through their respective eye opening loses they started clamoring for a snack. I think opening the pantry to find the cupboard bare was the final jolt needed for them to grasp that this is actually happening, lol.
In any case, I will be missing my Stamp Pad, and especially the friends who filled it something fierce. I managed to sneak up there and whip out one last card before the packers descended and made that room tidier than it's been in three years. That'll be up on the blog Sunday, but in the mean time, here's the winners for this week's giveaway of SEVEN awesome but retired CTMH stamp sets. I did manage to keep the giveaway sets out of the packing boxes so I could mail them next week while we are waiting for the moving truck to deliver.
Whatever you are doing this weekend, reach out to your friends loved ones and give them a hug. Stamp rooms can be rebuilt...but I'm always going to cherish the ladies who made my stamp room such a happy place. Thank you for an amazing dozen years, Stampin' Ladies!
