Thieving Missy

The Flower Thief strikes again!

For weeks I have been pushing the pram past two particularly beautiful rose bushes, my palms just itching to pinch a couple of buds to photograph... but these bushes are on somebody else's property and I've always drawn the line at nicking flowers from private gardens (I prefer to pilfer from the local government instead - it makes me feel better about paying taxes!).  Today, would you believe it, the ground was littered with fallen flowers like a blanket laid out for the pixies!  I walked home with a smile on my face and a pram full of petals... happy days!

Monday Mystery Collection

Except, it isn't lavender at all... I found these beautiful 'ropes' lying on the pavement but have absolutely no idea what they are!  The white vines are covered with little purple buds... does anybody have a clue what they might be?

A Natural Pickpocket

I "found" these gorgeous gumnuts on a tree in our street... as I stood there, brazenly breaking off branches in the broad daylight, it occurred to me that God might strike me down for thieving from nature (let alone the fact that the local council would probably arrest me!).  I blame it on the sublime shade of pink... something that beautiful needs to be documented for posterity don't you think?

We also have an unbelievable collection of hydrangea bushes opposite our block that I have been known to raid with a pair of kitchen scissors in the dead of night... please tell me I'm not alone in my clandestine floral escapades - anybody else a flower thief?

Pink By Nature

Look at these gorgeous flowers I spied while out walking yesterday:

The colours are so perfect - what a beautiful addition these flowers would make to a lovely white interior!

My Best Friend's Wedding

Yesterday my beautiful friends Dee and Cam were married on the beach at Balmoral.  Dee and I have been friends since highschool and I had the honour of being one of her bridesmaids.  It was such an incredible day filled with so much love and joy - they are an amazing couple and inspire so much happiness in everyone around them.  Here are some happy snaps of my bits and bobs the morning after the great day.  I will post some pics of Dee's dress when they come through - she is half Swedish and wore a vintage crown that has been passed down through the generations - absolutely incredible xx

Favourite Photos

I took these photos months and months ago but I still love them ...  the particular Protea in these images (which is the same one featured in my profile pic) will go down in history as one of the most beautiful specimens I've ever laid eyes on and I bought it at Woolworths!!!  The colours are so me, I just adore them.

Today I Love..... Baby Pink Flowers

I know I've said it before, but really (seriously) I think I must be part Swedish!  These beautifully evocative images were taken by a very talented Miss called Lilla Blanka.... they are so very, very lovely.  All that soft pretty pink.... delicious!  It makes me want to run outside in the dark and raid my neighbour's garden (not that I would ever condone such behaviour you understand).... :)

Flowers, Flowers & More Flowers

My gorgeous friend Amy got me these amazing Proteas for my birthday.  They are really incredibly beautiful, much like Amy!

I love Roses

It's Saturday morning, I have Meg Hutchinson playing in the background, a cup of tea in hand and beautiful roses from a boy.  Does life get better than this?

Flower Power

Beauty can be found in the simplest of things if only we open our eyes and our hearts wide.....
