Here’s another Christmas Card from me using some delish Wild Orchid Crafts goodies – Seam binding, MKX-405 lace, Trellis Rose, wild roses, rosebuds 8mm, open rose 20mm, and finished off with a couple of the new Cut-Outs die cut embellishments Forever Corner Ornaments and Lanterns Standing (one of my favourite die cuts ever!!)

I love the soft pretty green rose, it’s not a colour you see used often in flowers but it goes with so many of the colours Wild Orchid Crafts offers in their flowers.

Two cards

The first one I made using "House of Roses" paper collection so I added a lot of WOC roses.

On my second card I made a bouquet of white flowers adding some green leaves.

Bella with Wild Orchid Crafts roses

Good morning everybody,

Today I'd like to show you a card I made with a new image by Conie Fong for Sweet Pea Stamps, Bella with rose. Of course I added some extra flowers.

I first colored the bear and then the rose. I wanted to go for a very light purple and then after that decided that purple was going to be the main color of my card.

A close up of the gorgeous flowers that surround Bella. I used different tones of purple and a bit of white, the adorable little pearls are also by Wild Orchid Crafts. They come on a sheet with three colors that match the mixed purple flower sets perfectly.

I {heart} Christmas

I had a play with something different for a very special friend who I think is the biggest fan of Christmas on this planet.  Seriously!  She has thousands of ornaments from all over the world so I wanted to make her something that I know she won’t already have.

 

Lots of delicious Wild Orchid Crafts products were used: Trellis Rose, Cottage Rose, Open Roses 15mm and 20mm, white cabochon angel, gold bells, white stamens.  I dabbed white paint on to the flowers using a small piece of sponge (much more controlled than using a paintbrush) then once dry slathered on Mercury Glass Stickles.

 

The edges were painted with gold paint before I adhered the paper on then once dry the edges were inked and glittered.

 

 

My lovely hubby bent some brass tubing into ‘S’ shapes so I could join the hearts together

 

 

I bought the hearts from my local craft shop but I would think you could cut them quite easily from chipboard or mount board.  I covered the front and back of each heart with Bo Bunny paper.

 

I had such fun making this and it only took a couple of hours to do.

Paint with all the colors of the wind

Hello everybody,

Today I have an older project to show you that I hadn't shown on the Wild Orchid Crafts blog yet.

I decorated this cigar box with Wyanet by Wee Stamps as the main inspiration. I decided right away that I wanted to use feathers so I bought some of those at a local store that sells a lot for making real flower arrangements but of course I didn't want to use real flowers on my box as I wanted it to last so I used pretty Wild Orchid Flowers in stead. Since the feathers were brownish I decided to match that with Deep Red and white flowers. I thought the deep red was the perfect combination with the brownish tones of the feathers.

Holiday memories

Hello everyone :)
Today I would like to show you my mini-album made with photos from this years holidays. I used lots of Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and new die cuts.

I selected white and mint flowers, they match perfectly to my papers and photos. I also added pearls and shells, I found on the beach.

I used lots of gorgeous, mint hydrangeas. I used them in a way that I learned from Olga Heldwein - they replaced the leaves and perfectly filled composition.

 

I also used daisies, sweethearts, apple blossoms and cherry blossoms.

Hi there, here’s a card using one of the delish new Cut Outs.

Ranger Distress Glitter Rock Candy was added to the wings and snow.  Snowtex was added to the lamp-post and Americana White Writer was added to the flowers.

Love the pearl/rhinestone flatback, it works so well with the snowflakes

A Christmas card with hexagons

Hi everybody,

Today I'd like to show you another Christmas card I made. I think this is the second time ever I used my hexagon dies but I wanted to try something new.

The base of the card is just kraft cardstock, with stitches by hand around the edges. I smeared a bit embossing ink on one side of an embossing folder and pressed that on two edges of the cardstock, sprinkled white embossing powder on and heat embossed that. I wanted to get this not perfect pattern.

The image that I used is the newly released Sarah by Wee Stamps (available as a rubber stamp through Whimsy Stamps). I colored her with Copic Markers and 3D paper pieced her.

For the embellishments I used gorgeous red Trellis roses, a white open rose, pretty red hip rosebuds and one red Christmas berry spray with pine cones (you'll find links below). I still have berries and a cone left so what you see on this card is about 2/3rd of one spray.

Hello,
today I would like to present you two cards with gorgeous pastel lilies.

I added sweet tea roses, white sweethearts and lovely tiny rosebuds.

To decorate this card I used lilac lilies, matching lilac sweethearts, white cosmos daisies and lilac rosebuds.
