Bozuk para cüzdanı - Coin purse

Annemin cüzdanından esinlenerek yaptığım bir bozuk para cüzdanı.  Bu cüzdanı çok sevdim çünkü bir haznenin içinde bozuk aramana gerek kalmıyor, cüzdanı devirdiğinde bütün bozukluklar öne tarafa geliyor, kenarları dolayısıyla düşmüyor, sonra geri devirdiğinde hoop  geri yerine gidiyor. Pratik, çok pratik... Bu ilk deneme, daha iyi olma ihtimali var. Ama denedim, işlevselliği orijinali gibi...

This is a coin purse and I was inspired to do this because of my mum's purse. I loved this purse because you don't need to fish for coins in a closed space, when you tilt the purse all the coins come to the front and because of the edges they don't fall out. And when you tilt the purse back, all coins go back to their place. It's practical, very practical... this is my first trial, it could be better. But I was experiencing, the functioning is like the orijinal...

Dün gece arkadaşlarımızla beraber yemekteydik. Normalde her birimizin yaş gününde toplanıyoruz.Tabii bazı yaş günleri aynı zamana denk gelince 2li-3lü yaş günü kutladığımızda oluyor. 12 kişi olmamıza rağmen her aya bir kutlama olmuyor dolayısıyla. Kutlama demekle beraber yemeğe gitmeyi kastediyorum, doğum günü bahane. Geçen hafta, "en yakın yaşgünü ne zamannnn? Amma uzun oldu görüşmüyoruz, benn çok özledimmm", diye söylendim durdum. Sanırım geçen yıllarda aralarda da çok toplandık ve ben yaş günlerindeki üç ay boşluğu hissetmedim. Tabii bu sene kardan kıştan herkes eve tıkılınca, kendini hissettirdi. Allahtan bir arkadaşımız, benim yaptığım gibi sadece söylenmek yerine "hadi buluşalım" eylemine geçince, buluşabildik. Çok eğlendik, güldük, özlem giderdik. Oldukça geç saatte geldik eve. Sabah zor uyandım ve günümü mutlu ve tembel geçirmek istedim. Dolayısıyla bugün sadece daha önce genel hatlarıyla bitirdiğim ama ufak tefek eksikleri kalan çantamın eksiklerini giderdim.

Yesterday night we were out dining with our friends. Normally we meet for the birthdays. When some of the birthdays are on the same month we celebrate them in 2's or 3's. So, although we are 12 people we don't have a celebration every month. What I mean by celebration is to go out to a restaurant, birthday celebration is our excuse. Last week I was grumbling "when is the next birthday? It has been a very long time, I miss themmmm". I think in the previous years we met in between birthdays a lot so I didn't feel this 3 month gap. Of course this year because of the winter and snow everybody was crammedi ndoors. Thanks god, one of our friends took the action of "lets meet",  instead of just grumbling about it like me, so we could meet. We had great fun, laughed, satisfied our cravings. We came back home quite late. I had difficulty in waking up in the morning and I prefered to spend my day happy and lazy. So today I just completed my bag that I had more or less finished before.

Kar tatili - Snow holiday

Evvelki gün  kar dolayısıyla oğlumun okulu-dersanesi, eşimin de işi tatil olunca ailecek evdeydik. Benimde programım vardı. Liseden birkaç arkadaş bir arkadaşımızın evinde toplanacaktık güya, ben arabayı karın altından nasıl bulup, çalıştıracağım ve  çıkartacağım derken o da iptal oldu. Bana Pazar günlerini çağrıştıran bir gün yaşadık dolayısıyla. Dün de bana hep Pazartesiymiş gibi geldi. Tabii bende günümü atölye de geçirdim, hatta hızımı alamadım, yukarı çıktığımda saat sabah 3 olmuştu. Dün sabah kalkınca da ilk iş tükettiğim malzemeleri tedarik etmek oldu. Malzemem ve vaktim yetersiz olduğu için yaptıklarımı biteremedim ama sizinle en son bitiridiğim bir başka cüzdanı bir kar manzarası eşliğinde paylaşmak istiyorum. İnsan evleri yapmıştım, bunlarda kuş evleri...

The day before yesterday we were all at home because my son's school and my husband's work was on holiday because of the snow. I had a program also. We were supposed to meet at one of our friends house from high school, and while I was thinking how would I be able to find the car under the snow, make it work and get out, it was cancelled also. Because of all this it was a day that resembled Sundays and yesterday I continiously thought it was Monday. Of cource I spent my day in my studio, and couldn't stop myself, it was 3 in the morning when I went upstairs. Yesterday the first thing I did when I woke up, was to buy the material that I had finished. Because my material and my time was scarce, I couldn't finish the things I started doing, but I want to share one recently finished wallet together with a snow view.
I had made houses for people, and these are houses for birds...

Karlar düşer - Snow is falling

Bu sefer ki kar çok fena. Sabah bir işim vardı dışarı çıktım, çıkmışken de 1-2 parça alışveriş yaptım marketten. Ortalama 3 saat sonra eve geldiğimde karşılaştığım manzara şuydu. Kar öyle bir eğimle yağmış ki sokak kapısı tamamen karla kaplanmış, elimdekileri de bırakacak yer bulamayınca mecbur kapıyı açtım ve açmamla beraber o kardan duvar, evin antresine yıkıldı. Kürekle evden kar atmak zorunda kaldım. Sonra gün boyu kapıyı açıp karın birikmesine izin vermeden dışarı ittirdim mecburen. Sanırım ben kar'la ilgili söylendikçe, kar benimle olan ilişkisinde tacizini arttırdı :)).... ama elimde değil, ööööö geldi.
Bugün sizinle yeni yaptığım cüzdanımı paylaşmak istiyorum. Eeee birkaç gün önceki yazımda o kadar çok meleklerden bahsettim ki, cüzdan da böyle çıktı sonuçta....

The snow is very bad this time. I had things to do outside, so I went out this morning and since I was out I popped into a supermarket for some quick shopping. When I was back home about 3 hours later, this is what I saw. It had snowed with such an angle that my door was completely covered with snow. As I couldn't find a place to put the bags in my hand, I had to open the door and as I did so, the snow wall collapsed on the entrance of the house. I had to show away the snow in the house with a shovel. All day I had to throw out the snow so that the it doesn't build up again. I guess that the more I complain about the snow, it is being more annoying for me... but I can't lie, I'm fed up.
Today I want to share a new wallet that I finished. In my post a couple of day's ago I spoke about angel's a lot, so my new wallet turned out to be...

Kuşlu Cüzdan - Wallet with Bird

Bugün en sonunda atölyeme girebildim. Sabah bir iletişim hatası yüzünden erken uyanmak zorunda kalınca bayağı da vaktim oldu gün içerisinde. Bir süredir uzak kaldığım için öncelikle adapte olmak için malzemelerimle uzun uzun bakıştık. Aklıma ne yapmak istediğim konusunda herhangi bir esin gelmediği için defalarca yukarı çıktım, aşağı indim, kahve içtim, yemek yedim, döndüm, dolandım v.s.... Sonunda bu mavi kumaşın üzerine çiçekler konumlandırmaya karar verdim ve hemen kesime başladım. Bir sürü çiçek kestikten sonra bir baktım ki çiçekler bir köşede mahzun, benim mavi kumaşın üzerine gelmiş, konmuş keçe kahverengi bir kuş...

In the end, I was able to enter my workshop today. Because of a communication error I had to wake up early in the morning so I had plenty of time during the day. As I had been away for some time, we looked at each other with my materials for a long time. I had no inspiration on what I wanted to do, so I went upstairs, came back down, drank coffee, ate food, tossed and turned for many times. In the end I decided to put flowers on this blue fabric and immediately started cutting them. After cutting out loads of flower shapes, I realized that the flowers were sad in a corner because a brown felt bird had landed on my blue fabric....  

Kuşu kumaşa en kenarından dikerken dikiş kaydı... sinirlendim kuşa, makineye en çok ta kendime, başladım deli gibi dikmeye... Aaaa, hoşuma gitti bu hesapsız dikişler... Varmış hakikaten, her işte bir hayır...

As I was trying to sew the bird to the fabric from the very edge my stiches slipped... I was angry at the bird, the machine and most of all to myself. I started sewing like crazy... Oooo, I liked the random stiches... Yes there is some good in everything...

Keçe cüzdan anahtarlık- Felt purse keychain

Ve sonunda küçük cüzdan anahtarlıklarımı da bitirdim. Pek sevimli oldular. Bunlar bozuk para, kredi-banka kartı, kartvizit v.s. koyabileceğiniz ve aynı zamanda da anahtarlık olarak kullanabileceğiniz küçük cüzdanlar.
"Keçe cüzdan anahtarlık nasıl yapılır" derseniz BURADAN BUYRUN...

And in the end I managed to finish my small purse keychains. They turned out to be cute. These are small purses that you can use to put coins, bank-credit cards, bussiness cards etc. If you say "how can I make a felt purse keychain" you're WELCOME HERE...

Ve buda yaptığım bir diğer keçe cüzdan. Cüzdanlarımı kendi konforuma uygun yaptığım için yine bunun da içi oldukça detaylı. Resimlerde de görülüyor  ama detaylar kısaca şöyle;

• Fermuarlı para koyma gözü
• Açık para koyma gözü
• Kimlik kartı bölümü (büyük-transparan)
• 6 adet kredi kartı koyma bölümü (Transparan)
• Arkasında 2 adet kısa açık bölüm (fiş, fotoğraf, v.s konulabilir)

And this is another wallet that I made. As I make all my wallets to suit my comfort this one is very detailed also.

• 6 sections for credit cards (transparent)
• 2 short and open sections on the back (you can put reciepts, small photo's, etc.)
• Zipped section on the back for coins.

Baykuş figürlü cüzdan 2... - Wallet with owl figure 2

Evvetttt.... Bu da ikinci yaptığım cüzdan. Bununla çok uğraştım ama sonunda istediğim gibi oldu. Yine buda bir önceki cüzdanım gibi içsel detayları olan bir cüzdan.

 Beni en çok meşgul eden
1. İçinin tasarımı 2. fermuarın dikilmesi  3. İçi ile dışının birbirine kaynaştırılması...

Bunları bir şekilde çözmem lazım... Neden bu problemleri yaşıyorum??? Çünküüü...

•  Kredi karti bolmesi (yada bölmeleri demek daha dogru olur) yaptığımda, kumaş öyle bir kalınlaşıyor ki dikmesi çok zor oluyor ....
•  Fermuarı köşeleri olan vede dönen bir kumaşa dikmek zormuş +++ 
• o kadar çok işlem görüyor ki kumaşlar ölçülere uygun kesilmiş olsa bile içi ile dışını birbirine bağlama aşamasına gelindiğinde içi üzerinde yapılan işlemler sonunda birbirleri ile olan eşitlikleri kayboluyor!!!! 

Neyse ki bu cüzdanımıda yapmayı başardım. İşte budur....

Yesss....this is the second wallet that I made. I had to struggle on this one a lot but in the end it turned out as I wanted it to be. Just like my previous wallet, it is a wallet with inside details.

Things that took most of my time
1. Inside design 2. sewing the zipper 3. Integrating the inside and the outside...

I need to solve these... Why am I having these problems??? Because...

•  When I make a credit card section ( or sections will be more appropriate) the fabric gets so thich that it's hard to sew...
• It really is hard to sew a zipper arround a fabric that has corners that are that turn
• Even if the fabric is cut at standart values, after all the processes applied on the fabric, when we came to the process of connecting the inside and the outside because of all the things that have applied on the inside fabric , their equalities vanish!!!

In the end I managed this wallet. Here it is...

Baykuşlı Cüzdanlar - Wallets with owls

Günlerdir blogumu ayarlamaya çalışmakla meşgulum. Sadece internet ve ofis programları gibi standart şeyler kullanabilien biri olarak oldukça zorlandım. Aslında bütün derdim blogumu süslemek-tasarlamakla ilgili tabii ki. Bütün web'i tarayarak amaçladıklarımın çoğunu yapmayı başardım. HTML kodları ile bile oynadım ( tabii gözlerim kapalı sonuçlarını bekledim heyecanla). Oynadım ama bazıları tam bir rezaletle sonuçlandı... neyse ki önceki versiyonuna geri almayı başardım. Şimdilik mola veriyorum bu işe.
Gelelim el işlerime. Hani demiştim ya baykuşlara taktım diye, baykuş figürlü cüzdanlar yapıyorum (yada yapıyordum blogumla uğraşmaya başlamadan önce) Bugün önceden yapmaya başladığım cüzdanlarımdan birini daha tamamladım. Şimdi sırasıyla paylaşmanın vakti geldi. İşteee....

For days I have been trying to do my blog settings. As for someone who can only use standart things like the internet and office programs it was challenging. Of course my only concern is to decorate-design my blog. I was able to do most of the things that I aimed for, by surfing the whole internet. I even played with the HTML codes ( I waited the results with my eyes closed). I played with them but some were a total disaster...fortunately I succedded in retrieving my previous version. I'm now giving a break in this subject.
Coming to my handcrafts. Remember I said I am obsessed with owls, I'm making wallets with owl figures (or I was, before I started struggling with my blog) Today I managed to complete a wallet that I had started earlier. Now it's time to share them consequently.

Yaptığım cüzdanların hepsinin tasarımsal referansı benim. Yani ben nasıl cüzdan kullanmakla rahat ediyorum, sorusuna cevaptır. Bende içine herşeyi tıkabileceğim çanta ve cüzdanları sevdiğim için, tasarladıklarım da kullanım olarak öyle. Mesela bu cüzdan da neler var (resimden pek anlaşılmıyor)

For all the wallets that I design the inside design referance point is me. All are answers to with what kind of wallets am I confortable with. Because I love handbags and wallets that I can tuck everything inside my designed are similar. For example what do we have inside this wallet ( It's not clearly understood from the photo)

- 8 pockets for cards (credit cards, etc.)

- zipped middle pocket

- 3 different compartments suitable for money, receipts, id cards etc.

- Zipper all around wallet to prevent things inside from running away...
