Don We Now Our Ugly Sweaters

I had fun making this card.  Not sure what type of card it is called with all the folds, but fun nonetheless.

I used papers from the CTMH 'Tis the Season packet, the CTMH Ugly Sweater stamp set, and the Falala thin cuts die in White Glitter paper.

Hello, I am back and sharing a bunch of random cards!

Wow, I have been especially quiet over here, haven't I?

I blame it on vacation.

We went to Las Vegas the week of Halloween and I just haven't got my bloggin' groove back yet.  lol

Since we got back, I have been posting some pictures right from my phone (which made it so easy) over on my Facebook page, of cards I have made.  And here they are...

These first two cards use the November stamp of the month set - Through the Year, and Stronger Together which is a special stamp set that CTMH had designed specifically to benefit the Red Cross to help those affected by disasters such as the recent hurricanes in the US and wildfires this past summer in Canada and the US.  

I used the Silver & Gold Scrapbooking stamp set with matching Thin Cuts dies for the card below.

I pulled out some pretty old retired stamp sets for this card, shown below.

I believe the set was called Ice Crystals.

I used another old retired set called Snowflakes (my personal fave) on this card below.

I used retired Cozy Christmas and retired Snowflakes stamp sets for this card below.

This one is my favourite.  I used the Pen Pal Alphabet stamp set and the I ♥ Christmas Thin Cut die with the Gold Foil paper.  So pretty.

There!  Phew!  Feeling a little more caught up now.

2016 Christmas Layout

I thoroughly enjoyed having lots of company, and visits, and my daughters and their friend coming to stay with us for Christmas.  Good times!

On Tuesday, Lee went back to work and Cole went back to school, so I had a full day at home by myself to start the daunting task of never-ending laundry, relax a little, and create this 2 page layout, using CTMH City Sidewalks papers and Complements.  I soooo enjoy my quiet time, too!

I had a bunch of photos I wanted to use for this layout, but instead of making it too busy with a lot of pictures, I decided to add a Memory Protectors Pocket Plus page in the center, which just works as an extra smaller page to my layout.

Gift Card Holders

My twin daughters will be home for Christmas again this year.  Looking forward to it!  :)

And like last year, they are bringing their friend who is so much like them, that we refer to the three of them as the triplets.  lol

Anyways on my previous visit, I took note that with all of them living on fixed incomes, they really have to budget their spending money, so I thought gift cards to their favourite restaurants would be really appreciated, as that is one thing they like to do once a month.

I wanted to make some special holders for their gift cards, so I found the instructions for these ones and I have added Kristy Coromandel's how-to video below.

I also added braille to the gift cards with my label maker, so they will know what restaurant they are for and the dollar amount.

FSJ Christmas Party

 Last weekend, we attended the in-town company Christmas party.

I only took one picture of us dressed up and it was this selfie!

Lee wore a lavender coloured shirt, so not your typical Christmas colours, so I had to pull out an old, retired colour cardstock to work with this layout.

I really love all the gold and black that is popular this year!  Classic, but hard to photograph...  ;)

This layout is very pretty in person.

I die cut the snowflakes and then embossed them with Gold embossing powder.

I have to say, it felt so good to do a layout again!

Christmas Poppers

I was wanting to have some Christmas poppers at my table this Christmas, but when I looked at the goofy little things that would come inside them, I decided I wanted to make my own and fill them with Lindt chocolates.

And then I came across Allison Okamitsu's post on this very topic!  She made it so easy for me...

I used some older, retired CTMH Jingle paper, that I still have a lot left over...

Oh Deer! Christmas Card Set

In case you didn't notice right away, I used my class workshop instructions from my City Sidewalks cards to make these ones, but I used the Oh Deer! papers this time.

They are so soft and pretty in these colours.

It is hard for me to decide which version I like better!
