CR84FN #68

Time for another B-E-A-U-tiful CR84FN color challenge! But before we get to the colors, we just want to let all our loyal CR84FN followers know that this is the last post before we go on a holiday hiatus - CR84FN will return in all it's glory on Sunday, December 30th for CR84FN69.

But for the next two weeks, we have these fabulous colors to play with..

I absolutely LOVE this color combo - I really do. It is one of my favs to date.

Given the impending holidays, poinsettias seemed to fit the bill for the burgundy in the palette.

I used the Christmas poinsettias die from Papertrey Ink to create a partial die cut in cream cardstock. Then I stamped a few poinsettias on the cardstock, stamping one in place of the die cut. The cream cardstock was dry embossed with the linen impression plate from Papertrey Ink. I then clear embossed a background on a dark grey cardstock base and attached the cream cardstock.

CR84FN #66

Elegance is the theme with this week's CR84FN colours

They just exude class and style.

I went for a simple design that I thought was elegant in it's own way. I die cut three colours of card stock using an undulating die from Papertrey Ink (In the Meadow). I then pieced the die cuts together and embossed the lot. I thought about adding a few more embellishments but then decided I liked it the way it was :)

Hope you'll join in on the fun! Thanks so much for stopping by!

CR84FN #65

Welcome back for another beautiful colour palette from CR84FN!

Such a soft and gorgeous collection of colours.

Although I first thought these colours would make a fabulous non-traditional Christmas palette, all I could think about was cupcakes :) So I went with it.

Make sure to swing by the CR84FN blog for more fabulous DT inspiration!

Check out these fabby colors for the latest CR84FN challenge...

This GORGEOUS palette was chosen by Heather - thanks for the beautiful colors Heather!

I gave in to a little negative die cutting...

When I do this type of negative die cut, I will place the actual die cut down on the card stock and assemble the negative around it, then remove the die cut template. Makes piecing it back together a whole lot faster :)

Just Us Girls #126 - Sketch

Time to get sketchy with Just Us Girls!

This fabulous sketch was brought to us by our sweet, talented Lynn.

I decided to try my hand at spritzing. I used of my few Glimmer Mists to spritz the card stock - it wasn't quite as splotchy as I'd like but, hey, if I'd wanted it finer, it would have come out splotchy ;) I die cut a larger butterfly and stamped it with Mehendi Medallion then placed a smaller butterfly on top.

We have a new, very talented guest DT for March!!!! Please help me welcome Marisa from Rosemary Reflections! Welcome Rosemary!!! We are so glad to have you share your incredible talents with us this month!

Check out what the rest of the talented JUGS DT has whipped up!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

DeNami Color Challenge

For my CR84FN post, click HERE.
For my JUGS post, click HERE.

It's Monday…. how about some fabulous colors to start the week off right? Our lovely Dana has chosen some gorgeous colors for this DeNami Challenge!

If you visit here often, you know my affinity for sunflowers! Love 'em! when I saw these gorgeous colors, I HAD to use my DeNami sunflower stamp… just had to! And what can be better than one sunflower? A whole field of them :)

The DeNami products used on this card are as follows;

I stamped the sunflower a couple of times, then masked the images and stamped some more to create my sunflower field :) I colored them with my Copics (my shade of green is a little off, ok WAY off, from the inspiration photo - sorry Dana!). The wavy "sunny days" sentiment seemed to compliment the grouping of sunflowers, both in meaning and in shape :)  To finish off the sunflowers, I used glue dots to put brown fun flock in the centers.

YAY for one layer!!!

Hope you'll find sue time to play along with this awesome color challenge!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
