Guidelines in Writing Good Post

To write good posts, good content is the prerequisite. This can be generated if it follows certain guidelines:

(1) Be attention-seeking

A piece of good content is attention seeking. It contains information that is helpful and valuable to visitors who will return to source for others. Your blog will be bookmarked in the process. It will become a popular resource blog.

(2) Inducing subscription

With the content that is updated on a regular basis, it is good to provide visitors with a subscription feature. They will be able to subscribe through the feed system on your blog.

(3) Always aiming for more links

None is further from the truth that if your blog has more incoming links, your rankings on search engines will vastly improve. This is a result that will happen only after your blog has gained a favorable impression with other bloggers in terms of good blog content. In their eyes, your blog is their valuable resource center.

(4) Welcoming comments

To encourage openness and friendly interaction, always encourage visitors to post their comments on your blog. It is good for self-development. Comments should be taken with a positive mindset.

(5) Encourage action-taking

In your content, it is always possible to arouse the interest and urgency of the visitors to engage them in your call-to-action undertaking. It has to be one call that is strong and emphatic.

5 Acts Of Kindness For Bloggers

All these things are not hard at all. They Just require an investment of time and a little money (but that is what asking for prize donations is for), but you know what? The majority of you will not do these because it is too much effort and the results from your investment are not instant.

1. Give Them Some Link Love

Mention them in your posts, say how great they are and how much you loved one of their posts. They may return the favour, but besides that people never give credit where it is due, and you will make them feel so special - especially if they are a newer blogger than you.

2. Be A Generous Blogger

There are so many possibilities with this one but a few possibilities are donating to other bloggers contests, reviewing their blog or their new product that they have created. And don't think since you havn't got a product to donate to a contest that you can help them. Offer an advertising spot on your blog for a month or even a website review - there are so many possibilities to be generous, will you take them?

3. Be Approachable

Do you make it easy for other bloggers to contact you, or do you portray yourself in a way that they might be a bit wary. I am not meaning having a contact for or page (although I do need to get myself one of these), but do you welcome new bloggers requests for assistance. This is a great opportunity to build your network, and who knows one of these 'inexperienced bloggers' may become more popular than you - it is always good to have a wide range of contacts.

4. Offer To Guest Blog

Think back to when you started blogging. How would you have felt if a more experienced blogger offered to do a guest blog on your blog? You would have felt like you could conquer the world - and it may be the one thing that stops them from giving up on blogging.

5. Reward Your Top Commenters With Prizes

I know a lot of people are offering link love to their top commenters, but think of how they would feel if you could give them a gift as well. Whether it be a tangible product like a t-shirt, or an electronic product like and ebook or advertisement spot on your blog, you will gain a few raving fans and possibly a couple of links backs as they tell all their friends about what you gave them! (This is something I will be implimenting after my redesign)

3 Attitudes Needed to Successful Blogging

We already learned the basics about blogging, on what should be done and how it works. The next things to do is to develop ourselves with certain attitudes need in blogging. Here it is.

3 Attitudes Needed in Blogging

1. Enjoyment in Writing

Blogging is largely about writing. In order for us to regularly update our blogs, we need to enjoy what we are doing, and that is writing. In blogging we write, we write again, then write once more or twice more, we write always, and we write everyday. That's why we need to enjoy writing.

2. Defining Objectives.

Our ultimately guide on how we will design our blog and what content we will put in it is to determine what we would like to achieve.

To help you defining your own objectives, you may follow these questions as your guide.

  • Why are you setting up a blog?
  • Will you be using it to drive quality traffic to your main page?
  • Will you be using your blog to recommend your products?
  • Do you wish to earn money through it?
3. Developing Communication Skills.

We must be a great communicator to succeed in blogging. We must have the ability to get our message a cross without confusing your readers. We must also know how to effectively translate our ideas into words.

With the help of these 3 attitudes, success with blogging would be possible.
