Another week of frugal gaming and another crushing defeat for my Scavvy gang in Necromunda. I may have to stop posting about this and it can be safely assumed that every time I post I've just lost a game of Necromunda! It was a bit of a different game this time as Matt had to mount a rescue mission to reclaim his Ganger who I'd captured in the previous game. To represent where the ganger was being held I made a small terrain piece using Hirts Arts blocks and some pieces of polystyrene. To cut a long story short, I managed to roll badly before the game had even begun, this left me with only a single gang member to hold the prisoner. I chose my leader as it also gave me some zombies to use, but this backfired as Matt's gang managed to kill my leader with a single shot as my zombies wandered aimlessly around. His gang then walked in and freed their mate. Game over.
I managed to mitigate my losses by feeding the leader's body to the rest of the gang to save spending credits on food (frugal gaming at it's most gruesome!) before electing a new leader; Septic Dave, the tentacled mutant.

In my last post I mentioned going to Salute
this year and an anonymous poster mentioned the idea of a 'virtual salute' where you spend a day looking on the internet at the websites of the traders listed as being at the show. This sounds like a really good idea (though not good enough for me to cancel my London trip) and I may develop it to create FrugalCon. More ideas as I make them up.
As well as a bit of Necromunda (and some games of Loopin' Louie with my daughter), work is nearing completion on my Mordheim Post Office. Next week I'm planning to have a full write up on how it was made, with loads of photos. So come back and visit for that one!
Happy Gaming.
