Every once in a while Zack will sleep talk when he is first falling asleep and he almost always falls asleep faster than me so I get to listen. Here was our little conversation the other night...
Z: "It usually does.."
C: "What?"
Z: "It usually does.."
C: "Oh..."
Z: "I usually roll over onto you when it's late." As he rolls over. "And then I like turn into a bean or something and then I'm awake."
C: "Hmmm.."
Another one of my favorites was when the room was completely silent and turned to me and softly said, "Shhhh... whisper." I just whispered back, "Okay."
He can be pretty entertaining.

Speaking of Growing Up...
A few months ago we were sitting in church and I noticed a white hair on the side of Zack's head! I couldn't believe my eyes. Later, I plucked it out so he could see it and sure enough, pure white. Since then it has grown back. Zack doesn't think it's important enough to take a picture but I think it's a big milestone like the first time a boy has to shave his mustache. So now, at age 24, Zack is starting to become an old man.

All Grown Up
On December 13th I finally graduated from college. Yeah, it took me less than 4 years but it seemed like forever, especially when everyone we hang out with had already finished. Anyway, my degree is sort of exercise science/pre-physical therapy but my actual diploma (which barely came in the mail last week) says physical education. I don't really feel like explaining.
It was a good and bad experience. Bad first: Well, it decided to be the second huge snow storm of the year that day. Our families had a pretty rough time getting through sardine canyon but they made it just fine. I wouldn't have minded the weather so much if it weren't for the stupid tradition that all of the graduating students have to walk all over campus before they can go into the building. So yeah, we all had to walk around in the blizzard. Nobody bothered shoveling the walkways or anything. They even made us walk all the way around the building before we could go inside. The building is on a hill so everyone was slipping and falling! As if finals weren't enough, they had to put us through one last form of torture! Since I knew we'd be walking outside, I didn't bother wearing a skirt. You better believe I wore pants with thermals! That's the end of my rant.
The good part: It was so fun to have both of our families come up and spend time with us! After the ceremony we all went to lunch at Kamin Thai Cuisine. The food was excellent as well as the company. Zack's parents and grandpa had never tried thai food before so it was fun. It also felt really good to be done. For weeks afterward I kept thinking in the back of my head that I had a homework assignment to be working on and I had to remind myself that I'm free of that! Enough of my rambling, here's some documentation of the day:
Yes, I am in this picture. I'm in the middle sitting to the left of the girls with bushy blonde hair. This was after the layer of snow had melted off of our hats.
Our camera's zoom needs some work. This is when I walked across the stage and shook people's hands I've never seen before.
Proud husband. This is pretty much his degree too. I would've had a lower gpa if he hadn't pushed me out of bed every morning!
I actually have a lot of similar pictures with the same people from my high school graduation. It would be fun to compare but they're on a different computer and I'm too lazy to dig them up. I really don't feel any different or any more adult now that I'm graduated. I don't know if I ever will...

Oh the weather
So it's the beginning of March and I'm just so pleased. Usually the weather around here is snowy and frigid until May. Yesterday, it was warm enough that I drove with my window down without a jacket on! Then, I saw a couple of women on a walk with their kids and they were wearing tank tops! I know it's just "the warm before the storm" but I'm enjoying every second in all its glory.
