(Probably) the Last Shopping and Post in 2006

My friend called me for a ride to the Nittany Mall as she's going back to China for two months. So I drove her for a last-minute shopping. I have these picked up:

Delivery

1. Day One - 28 Dec 2006

   First attempt : my department.

2. Day Two - 29 Dec 2006

   Changed the address to my home address on the phone. I specifically say my apartment is ``the apartment D5, Dee as in Delta...''. They still made the wrong delivery, to the apartment Bee 5. Ironically, I was sitting by the window, and I saw the UPS truck passing by.
   I then called up UPS customer service. They got the delivery man to call me. He told me to come to this UPS store just beside Walmart at 6:00PM. But I spent some time to locate the store, because the store is not in the usual UPS-color. The shopkeeper told me the delivery man was gone!!
   That's the most stupid arrangement I ever heard. He should have left it at the UPS store and I'll just pick it up myself.

3. Day Three - 30 Dec 2006

   I was hoping that they still do delivery on Saturday. Apprently they don't. I called up again, and they said the next delivery is only Tueday, 2^th Jan 2007.

4. To sum up, I will only get the coffee and GPS next year.

[GCSE] TA positions

TA offers have been distributed to mailboxes (as well as all RA's that have been reported to me by the faculty). Please check your mailbox and if you received an offer, please sign one copy and return it to me immediately. Those of you who entered as a new student in the fall semester with an assistantship for both the fall and spring, do not need to sign a new terms of offer for the spring semester unless I have informed you that you need to sign again. I expect TA assignments will be posted before the end of the week.

Unfortunately, we had many more applicants than we had available positions. I'm sorry we could not accommodate everyone who applied for a position.

The main problem about the class is the `big picture'... I finally know what an IVP of an ODE is trying to solve using the Euler's method, when reading the MIT videos the night before the final exam. The MIT professor used two classes to teach IVP and the Euler's Method while I learned those in just 15 minutes.
