I was lucky enough to get an affordable Star Saga lot with the Core Set and two expansion. Mantic's boardgame is basically a HeroQuest in Spaaaaace and - as always - I am too lazy to paint up the 28mm miniatures that came with it. So I went to the basement and searched through my GZG and Alternative Armies goodies and came up with these miniatures. A little bit of work on the cards had to be done and now I have game materials that match the minis I intend to use. Big fun! :)

Blog Necromancy - and a Space Weirdos batrep!
I realize that I didn't post anything in over a year... shame on me. Actually, I finished a lot of projects (and started 100 new ones), but I didn't find time to post them here.
Well, better late than never - here's a new batrep!
I tried out Space Weirdos by Garske Games and a lot of fun hunting down some mutants with my Cawdor gang. As always, it was a solo game.
All the best,
Skully :)
EDIT: Thank you for revisiting the blog and for commenting the post. I tried to answer, I tried to comment on your stuff - IT JUST DOESN'T WORK. Everytime I try to comment something, I have to log in again. Blogger offers me another Google account of mine, but won't let me choose the hobby related one... I don't get it. :(

15mm DKoK or why I needed a 3D Printer
Mr. Mars made me another present. I have managed to scale down 28mm models to god's chosen scale without any problems. You lose some detail that 15mm people don't need anyway. I bought some .stl files and can build whatever I like now. Your Sergeant needs a Powerfist AND a plasma pistol? No problem! Need some more poses? Mirror bodies and arms. It's really like having a limitless bitz box and all kitbashing is done before printing. No more glueing or sculpting (unless you want to).
So here they are: 15mm Death Korps of Krieg from the toxic Resin wastes. Avoid those fumes, wear a mask! ;)
Needless to say that there will be more... Chimeras, Sentinels, Ogryns, weapon teams... oh my.

15mm Sci-Fi Dungeon, Super Mutants and BoS Power Armor
One of my most urgent projects is more or less done. I built a sci-fi dungeon from styrofoam and finally added metal floor tiles and doors made with my 3D-printer. I always dreamed of having something like this without having to use cardboard tiles or doors. 15 rooms are done and there is enough furniture to make it cozy. The tiles are magnetic and can be put on a black chalkboard of 90x60 cm that will hold them in place during games. For the first photos I added Khurasan Super Mutants and some 3D printed BoS paladins in power armor. I am very satisfied with the current result, but I will add a lot more crates, pipes, grid floors and vents.

Back to the very beginning: Battletech
In 1985 I was in a toy store with my parents. And there it was - a huge diorama filled with giant robots in different landscapes. In the woods, in the mountains, even under water! The robots were painted Revell-Models of Robotech designs. I was hooked and kept the advertising brochure - until today.
In 1991 I found out that lots of the Robotech models were also used in a game called Battletech. I could really buy, paint and play with these things. So I took the bus to the neighbor town and bought my first pewter model ever - the mighty Warhammer with it's two PPCs. It was one of the "unseen" mechs that disappeared later due to licensing issues of FASA. I still own that model too.
In 2020 I found out that the superb redesigns used in the Mechwarrior Online game are all available for 3D-printing. So I placed an order and three hours later Mr. Mars gave me these two beauties, also well known from that diorama 35 years ago - a Griffin and a Wolverine.
In 2021 I am knee-deep in mech-production and painting. I will use them for Solo-Alpha Strike and await my first game soon. True love never dies.
You can see the brochure that started it all below the mechs. Without this toy store visit I would maybe never been drawn into the tabletop hobby. I guess it was fate. ;)
Purple is my colour of choice!
Some news from the Cult. Still purple, still mean, a little bit more old school!
