Gypsy card & no live show today

Yes,I bought the gypsy, I bought at HSN launch and it was a good deal I think. As a mac user I could not use the design studio, which I think gives so many possibilities with the cricut.
When I used to have pc I had design studio trial and had a lot of fun. But than my pc died and I got fed up with pcs . But when I saw the presentation at HSN I could understand much better and got myself as my birthday gift. My husband as a gift gave me a cricut expression so I made a upgrade on my cricut. Now the possibilities are endless !
I'm still learning but here is a simple card using the gypsy wanderings that comes loaded in the gypsy. This blog has a lot of tutorial on the gypsy.Some people asked me is that worth it? Well I did videos before about tools and what I think is necessary, to me it's a investiment and a tool really necessary if you want to use your cricut to the full capacity. Remember you always have to ask yourself am I going to need that? So if you love your cricut like I do, I think it's worth it. But there is many new tools out there now that don't call my attention at all.

Here is the free template for you to use to make the pages of the album
just click and drag the paper to the template do a ctrl + g or command G (mac)
always put the paper above the layer to do this command. after that print and delete the paper layers and put the other papers and so on. when finished delete the paper layers and leave just the template and dont save so your template wont be changed.
The album is 4x6
I used stick back canvas
stickers avery paper
regular cardstock 110 lbs
Dejavu digital papers.


Next show we are going to use some stencils and glimmer mist and made mists to do the tags between the pages.

Fabric Paper Mini

I was glad to get my sewing machine and play with some different papers and paint. This mini can be a journal or can be a mini album for pictures. It till be soon on my Etsy.

By the way this the papers are imported papers I bought on Paper Source and they put in their blog the picture the Princeton Store they opened. Cool.

I received this week unexpected a great RAK from my friend Risa, with such warming words.

Risa I'm very lucky to have you as a friend, thank you girl!

Lucas is 5 months today ! All I can say is wow I can believe in this 5 months our lives changed so much and it seems it was yesterday !

Photoshop Playing and RAK

While on sofa in my ice packs and between Lucas sleeping time, I can't do much other than play with my PSE.
I had a Episiotomy after more than 3 hours of pushing Lucas was going really slow, well I didn't read much about it because I really thought I would not need that. But God has other plans. In that moment is whatever is safer for you baby, the doctor had to help me out a little, but after all settle and done. I feel a lot of pain and discomfort in my body right now, not just because of that but because other common things of a natural birth.

I'm still trying to have patience and accept my body as it is now, and trying to be patient with discomfort and pain. I really felt crappy, now just a little crappy :) and that gave a little baby blues. But I'm better now, healing.

So, it will take 4/6 weeks for me to feel better about myself and maybe improve my mood.
But I thank the blessings:

Having a very good baby that has been very consistent

And a very helpful husband that has been with me through this period and helping me in everything, even the things you wish they didn't have to.
I'm so happy to have him here, and, like in the past, since we got here in this country.
We will do this together just me and him, and I'm so glad because it make us grow together.

Thanks for your patience and soon I will be back to blogland and visit my friends. Aren't you glad blogger has a schedule post option ? :)

Your 10 days Mini Album

I got the idea to do the same style as people did to the albums on Xmas with thecountdown, but in my case it will be the first 10 days of Lucas Life.

This is the base album, as I will change probably with some accents as I see the pictures. Later I will show the final product.

I used to digital elements on this Album, again the hybrid thing that help us.

First the album is 5x7 mirror album from Heidi Swapp.

The date circles are PSE brushes from Ali Edwards that I changed on PSE to fit my 1 1/4" punch from SU. I will prepare a video tutorial how you can size your brushes. I printed them on sticker paper from Avery and used the scalloped punch from SU. These brushes are actually on sale today.

Also some pages are hybrid templates from House of 3 , altough the printable comes on pdf I had to change them to PSE files to accomodate the size of my album, I will show a tutorial on that as well.

Happy Birthday Card and Thank you

As my friend just received this today, I could post this card, Magnolia on watercolor.
It's been a good 3 days relaxing at home, we had snow yesterday, so I'm getting some things ready on my rhythm, preparing for Baby shower Sunday, that should be fun :)

It's been overwhelming the pouring of generosity of my distant friends.
I received this last week on the mail .
With handmade cow from Maria and Natalie, Natalie : Спасибо ! Thank you ! my friend, you are the proof that distance doesn't end friendship.

I received yesterday 2 boxes also full of clothing from another friend from Florida. I was so happy and amazed with her generosity that made me cry. She just had a baby boy and sent 2 big boxes loaded for me.
When I first arrived in this country I was her baby sitter. I saw her daughter grow, and they never forgot me, this is what matters in life, love from true friends and people that never forget you.
I still send her daughter cards every month, I called her and I said to her : you can give cards to your friends at school, and she said: no,,,I want to keep to myself, I have a box for them...made me happy !

Well, shopping this weekend saw this plush at Sam's club, and because of the price could not resist, my intention was to buy a Elmo, a big one, because I love Elmo ! I think he is a great character to Lucas grow with. But I saw this and remembered me snoopy and was $19.90 and people is HUGE !!
Lucas is going to love it ! I can see him laying down on him already !
But I still want a Elmo ;) maybe now a small one.
Here he is going home ;)

Bliss 18 weeks Layout with home made overlay

One more layout for my pregnancy little album, this time I decided to a simple layout and top it with a home made overlay, I think the most economical way to create your overlays.
Just buy a digital overlay print in transparency and Voila !
The fun is you can change colors and use on your pictures or print by itself as I did here.
I re sized my overlay to the same size of my layout, and printed on transparency.
That would work for a card for example if you have a digital overlay with swirls or you have a brush, just brush your canvas print on transparency and cut to card size.
So no need of white staz-on. Maybe I will try that, to show you guys.
So here is the overlay with the layout in my album:

Received some Amazing RAKs(Random Act of Kindness) this week
The first is from Dee , she doesn't have a blog, but she is my Etsy customer that became a constant reader of my blog, she sent me the most delicate mini, and this card that has a triagle shape. And the most amazing thing all came smelling good because she included a Lavender bag with it. Amazing , Thanks Dee !



Second one from Maria, oh OMG she is so talented, her cards makes me say WOW, and she was so generous to send me this baby set stamp, that will be well used !

I received my order yesterday from TwoPeas of one of the baby Albums I'm going to do for Lucas
a Pre made 12 month one. This will be more for everybody to see, and I plan to do a 12 x12 more detailed and with very personal journals that will be just for us.
The monthly one I will do 8 x8 and bought this corduroy album, fabric cover very touchy Loved it.
I see things will be slow for me, today I had a lot of back pain, and more I stay in craft table more I feel and a lot of rib pain, so I will take a day off work tomorrow to rest.

Layout

Hi everybody, I have been trying to organize my stuff, I still have a bunch of pictures to download to the computer, I should be better at writting my ideas so I can keep track of things I want to do.
I did this layout using a kit I receive from Coordinate collections , I like monthly kits they take off the guessing about coordinate colors. And I think this papers went well with the fun layout I wanted to do. I want to begin drasctically to scrap my present stage, I was printing a lot of pictures in different sizes of what I want to do.
But I try to follow really what I like and not trends because what matters really is to say what we want i'm sure in 10 years hip products wont matter.
Check out Ali Edwards blog , she talked a whole week about words+photos layouts pretty cool.

Wordless Mini Album

It was very difficult to do this mini album without words, this was to my friend's Mother and because she doesnt know English, would make no sense to make with phrases or words.
This was very simple and fast project, just took my box of scraps and took all pieces of paper. Stamps and Embellishments. Very simple and of course my Bind it All and I used 4 " coasters.
Also I want thank Malieta for this Beautiful Valentine she sent to me. Thanks Malieta I'm addicted to chocolate so ... Loved it !And for Holly Murphy she did not send me a blog so she was my Rakker in Jen's Rak ClubBig NEWS
I have a new great computer finally !
