Floral Frame

I've wanted to make a card with the Floral Frames Framelits for some time, and as the dies are retiring, it's now or never!  The inspiration for this card came when i was browsing in a gift shop.  There were some cards that featured gorgeous, rich colours, glitter, foiling, sequins - all sorts of yumminess.  Stampin' Up! card comes in some beautiful rich colours  - so it would be rude not to use them, wouldn't it?

Noel Shutter Card

Hello blog friends, thank you for visiting.

I may have mentioned once or twice that I enjoy action/kinetic cards.  I’ve been fascinated by pop-ups and paper engineering ever since I was a littlie, so they do feature on this blog from time to time.  Today I’m showing you a shutter card (sometimes called a magic marquee card).  Here’s the layout for this card–

It’s important in making this card that the moving parts are placed right inside the fold line of the gatefold flaps with the adhesive upwards.  Here's the tutorial - hope you enjoy!

Cling-Film background

Today i'm sharing a technique for creating a pretty background.  It's a method that's been around for some time, and by using Stampin' Up! inks the background will co-ordinate with other SU products.  The key to the effect is the mica - so you really do need to use something like Smooch spray.
