Honest! It was totally her idea!

I was cutting hair on Saturday when Lucie decided that she wanted her hair short. She was ultra excited and LOVED modeling it after she was done. Her father, on the other hand, was a little apprehensive to say the least, which made it even more fun!Lucie has a huge grin if you look close!

After:

yes, yes, she posed on her own accord. No prompting necessary!

I ended up taking off about six inches (about half her body weight). She looks older but smaller at the same time!

"I cannot do laundry today", said little Peggy Ann McKay

our dryer....at 12:30 at night
What do you do after taking apart you dryer?!

Well, duh! What else!? It's a photo op!

So us and appliances don't really get a long at times. And it seems as though we don't replace anything until it has quite literally blown up. Case in point: our vacuum; we received it when we were first married, it came used from a garage sale. Despite eight years of ups and downs with the thing, and one very memorable visit from the Kirby door sales men, we finally replaced the thing after it started smoking quite profusely before finally quitting on us. Next item: our phone. It got burned on our oven element....yeah. That one we actually used for awhile in it's mangled and mutilated state until Mikey's parents decided we needed a new one for Christmas one year. Our toaster. Once again another appliance that we bought when we were first married. It lasted seven years before one side stopped working, shortly after one half of the other side quit working. Lets say making toast in that thing became it's own art form. Once again, that appliance sparked with some smoke involved before a replacement was procured. Now to the current date. Our dryer. It smoked. It smelled. It stopped working. Upon VERY close inspection it produced burned lint and a blown motor. Maybe we should replace things BEFORE they blow up on us.....nah!
