What is more tropical than a pineapple? And since I live in the tropics, a pineapple updo is perfect. I made many small accent braids, then criss-crossed them beneath my messy high bun to make a pineapple-themed hairstyle. Add to this my pineapple barrette and pineapple top, and I was all set for the day :-)

Decorative Braided Braids
Hi everyone,
Yesterday I fixed my hair in a simple style that still looks very elegant, a low bun accented with a 4-strand braid. My 4-strand braid is made of 4 small braids, and was the perfect match for my lace top.
On another subject, before I washed my hair last night, I tried out the hair mask that I recently pinned on Pinterest. I mixed together 1 tablespoon coconut oil, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 2 tablespoons honey, and one egg and applied the mixture to my hair. I put my hair in a bun and covered it with a plastic bag, then after about an hour I washed my hair as normal. This morning when I woke up, my hair was perfectly dry, and oh-so-soft, strong, and smooth. I definitely recommend this hair mask, and will be using it again and again on my own hair.

Simple side bun with braid accents
Hi everyone,
I hope you are having a lovely day, how fun to be heading into the weekend once again. Today I fixed my hair in a very simple style, a side bun with three small braids as accents. This is an easy updo for every-day, but it could also go for a fancy occasion. In that case, I would probably add a flower clip or two and it would be perfect <3

My 1,000th Post! Micronesian "Kieki" (Basket-weave updo)
Hello friends,
Last night I watched several YouTube videos explaining how to do a basket weave braid, and this morning I tried it out on my own hair. I have always wanted to do this hairstyle, and although I would like to do it again with more weaves, I am quite happy with my first attempt at this braid. My Micronesian friends were very surprised to see this hairstyle, they told me my hair looked just like a "kieki" which is a mat made out of woven palm leaves. How thrilling to hear their description, that they could see the woven concept I was striving for <3
Thank you for visiting my blog. I love sharing hair pictures with my friends around the world.

Edgy French Mohawk Braid
Hi friends,
Today I braided my hair in a center mohawk braid, and added a small braid on either side to edge the part line. I love the extra special look this simple step adds to this hairstyle. Thank you so much for visiting my blog to see my new post, I hope you have an amazing weekend.
