Trying to root an Android device without needing the stock firmware by dumping the boot.img and injecting it via Magisk/APatch

In modern Android rooting, people like us usually use Magisk, KernelSU, or APatch to gain root access on our phones :)

But the problem is, we must have access to our device’s stock firmware from the OEM to get those requirements which we need to root our phone with above mentioned rooting solutions.

- But what if our manufacturer doesn’t provide a stock ROM?
- What if the manufacturer doesn’t even exist?
- How do we root those sketchy unbranded phones we find on AliExpress?

Introducing samloader-actions v2 🎉

• samloader-actions is a GitHub CI script designed to download the required files for Magisk to root your phone without needing to download big 🍑 firmware files..!

Changelog :

- Rewrote the entire scripts to make them simpler
- Added the ability to dump the required files using a Samfw.com direct download link
- Added a toggle to upload the dumps to Telegram
- Users can now decide which files they want to dump by editing the tools/worker.sh file

The default values are:

I fucked up my A/Ls almost twice, skipped one, and decided to do the 2026 one too (this is the reason why I never posted anything. I could not face you guys when asked 'dan A/Ls kohomada malli?', 'Dan Campus neda?' etc.),

Also, in the last 8 months, I have been learning the concepts of Linux containerization and exploring the possibilities of running any Linux containers on an Android device,

basically converting Android devices into fully functional, unkillable Linux servers.

Fedora, Arch, Nix, Alpine, Gentoo, Ubuntu, Debian; you name it.

My project can run them all at once for 365 days, with full init support (Systemd, OpenRC, S6, runit, procd, etc.).

The project went viral and has 1.5K GitHub stars now, with an international community of daily active users, over 30K downloads, and 400 GitHub followers.

Initially, the project had ~10 GitHub stars.

But after doing some creative promotions on Reddit myself, it blew up to over 400K views!

Platform එකේ ඉන්න random මිනිස්සුන්ට ඔයාව පේන්නෙවත් නැහැ ඉන්නවා කියලා.

මේක තමයි concept එක කෙටියෙන්.

ඒත් අපිට දැනගන්න ඕනි "අපි වගේම යාලුවෙක් අපිටත් හිටියනම්" කියන ප්‍රශ්නය ඔයාටත් තිබුනා ද කියලා.

ඒකට තමයි අපිට ඔයාලාගේ උදව් ඕනි මේ idea එක real life එකට ගේන්න ideas වලින් :)
