Some weeks ago we were on a party😉

We organised our first Docs Review Party where we reviewed together part of the documentation uptaded with the version 0.30 to install the latest features and upgrades of the software. Participants make it easier, funny and helpful as we exchanged feedback, proposed updates and contributed with their knowledge.

As we continue to review the documentation, we are extending the Docs Party to celebrate 3 events more! Here are the upcoming dates:

The Open Call is open ☀️

We're seeking lightning talks and workshops that explore the technology as a public good and the adoption of Digital Public Infrastructures. Contribute with your proposals and participate in the Community Day, that will take place during the Decidim Fest 2025 on the 6th November.

Selected proposals will be featured at the festival and are eligible for community-driven sessions. Check the categories, submit your proposals and a curator committee will select around 8 to 10 to fill the program💡

Community Calls are back! 🪴

We want to initiate the course organising a community meeting with all of you. The program includes two main points in the agenda:

✴️Sharing all about the upcoming #DecidimFest25 (4-6 November). Get to know the program, speakers and main topics of this edition. Also, we’ll explain all about the #BarcelonaOpenTechWeek, coordinated together with the Ajuntament de Barcelona and the Mozilla Festival, and the Decidim Awards, a new initiative to recognise and celebrate the most active participants in the Metadecidim community.

✴️Checking out the roadmap priorisation. We'll take a look at the new space at Metadecidim to vote and make proposals on which improvements should be included in the 2026 projects.

Time to share your feature proposals for the roadmap ✏️

Strategic directions are ready to guide the evolution of the platform from now until the end of 2027. It’s time to bring forward your best ideas for new features or improvements and submit your proposals for the product roadmap. Each participant can submit up to two proposals, with a maximum of two per organization.

This release brings a major upgrade to Rails 7.2, a more capable and polished API, and two new components: #Elections and #CollaborativeTexts. It also includes numerous UX enhancements and fixes across the platform.

Voting is now open for members of the Association! 🗳
Please note that only Decidim Association members can participate and each of them have 3 votes to distribute among the proposals.

You have until the end of the month to vote. Any proposal that gathers at least 10 votes will move forward for implementation. 📋

Finally, the Product Team reviews the results and officially announces which proposals will be part of the next development cycle. These proposals are then prepared for implementation together with partners, developers, and funders.
