About Richmond Open

Coming back for a second year in 2023, Richmond Open is a community-led tabletop convention featuring miniatures events, large tournaments, historical wargaming, role playing games, board games, vendors, open gaming, and more.

What Do I Need to Attend?

You will need a Floor Pass which gains you access to the convention including Open Gaming, Demos, access to Raffles and Vendors, etc. You'll also need Tickets for any events you specifically plan on attending. Think of tickets as registering for the tournament or game you want to play.

If you only plan on attending to play in Open Gaming events or to peruse, etc. then all you'll need is a Floor Pass.

Venue Location

Richmond Open is being held at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, Virginia's premier meeting and event destination. We'll be in a 34,000 square foot space for 2023, so come game with us!

Event Submission

Note: Event Submission is open!

If you want to run an event at Richmond Open, click the "Submit Events" button in the right column. Depending on your type of event, it will fall into one of the three categories there:

RPG (for all pen and paper RPGs like D&D, Pathfinder, Starfinder, etc.)

Miniatures - (for all games miniatures games that aren't historical wargames. Examples: Kill Team, Gaslands, etc.)

Board Games (for all board games, card games, etc.)

Historicals - If you are submitting a game to be run in the Historical Games area, this is for you. Specific to games like Black Powder, Blood & Plunder, Hail Caesar, etc.
