Mildred Schaeffer Zichner Collection
The Digital Collection
The Mildred Schaeffer Zichner Collection contains a selection of images from a much larger collection of Zichner materials available in a tangible form in the UNT Libraries' Special Collections.
The Physical Collection
The slide photography of Mildred Schaeffer Zichner (1910-2008) is a record of travels with her husband, Walter Zichner (1907-1991), family, and friends across the globe. The Zichners were based out of Fort Worth, Texas, but traveled to Canada, South Africa, South America, Egypt, Iran, Russia, China, Turkey, Greece, Italy, England, Ireland, and many destinations within the United States during a 30-40 year period. An estimated 40,000 images form this unique collection of travel imagery.
