Canadian Record
About the Collection
Shortly after the Canadian Record began it merged with the Canadian Enterprise when its publisher and editor C. M. Hall left for the west coast. By 1933 the front page boasted, "It's got to be good to be advertised." Early editors include L.P. Loomis and Joseph M. Nobles.
This is one of seven newspapers published in Canadian: the Free Press (1887-1888), the Crescent (1888-1893), the Record (1893-present), the Enterprise (1891-1912), the Advertiser, (which later became the Hemphill County News, 1938-1971), the Sand Barr (1933-1949), and the short-lived Monday Morning News (1916).
