The next big threat may be one we haven’t imagined yet. That's why Mastercard champions Threatcasting, a methodology that brings together diverse perspectives to envision future risks, challenge assumptions and identify ways that can build resilience long before a crisis hits. This year’s workshop convened experts from industry, government and academia to explore emerging challenges facing the financial ecosystem and consider how to prepare for an uncertain future. The goal: turn foresight into action, before the unexpected becomes reality.

Card benefits can be incredibly valuable, but they only create value if people know they exist and how to use them. This week, we introduced Mastercard Max, your new AI-powered benefits assistant that helps cardholders discover, understand and use the benefits available through their card. Embedded directly within issuer experiences, Mastercard Max helps bring benefits into the moments where they matter most while helping issuers turn existing benefits into stronger engagement and loyalty. We're excited to work with financial institutions around the world, including C6 Bank, Attijariwafa bank, I&M Bank Ltd, Nedbank, and SNB Group as we bring Mastercard Max to cardholders across multiple markets. 🔎 Cyber resilience isn’t about preventing every incident. It’s about being ready when one happens. During a cyber crisis, leaders must make high-stakes decisions with incomplete information, while teams across technology, legal, communications and operations work to keep the business running. Simulating realistic attack scenarios helps organizations test response plans, sharpen decision-making and strengthen coordination before a crisis hits. Today at Cloudflare Connect, chief product officer Jorn Lambert demonstrated Mastercard Agent Pay for Machines, showing how an AI agent can find and pay for digital services on behalf of a business, while sticking to the budget and rules that business sets. Together with Cloudflare, Ant International, BVNK, AIsa, Coinbase, Base and Hype, we’re showing how different parts of the ecosystem can come together to make that possible. Now we want developers to build with us. Through Agent Pay for Machines Early Access, we’re making our first buyer- and seller-side APIs available, along with a toolkit, sandbox and developer documentation. Whether you’re building agents, platforms, payment infrastructure or services for agents, come test it, push it and help us shape what comes next. See it in action. 👇

Stablecoins are opening up new ways to move value around the world. Making those experiences secure and trusted is what will help them grow. Today, we announced Stablecoin Security, a new solution that brings payment and blockchain intelligence together to help give financial institutions a clearer view of risk. Together with Borderless.xyz and Keyrails, we’re helping identify risk throughout the stablecoin payment lifecycle, including before funds move on-chain. New payment rails are emerging. Security, trust and transparency need to evolve with them. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gNxqMtPD #Stablecoins #DigitalAssets #Cybersecurity

Businesses today operate across an increasingly complex mix of payment networks, currencies and digital assets. That's why we're launching Mastercard Global Money Platform, our first major product launch with BVNK. It brings together multi-currency accounts, global money movement and stablecoins capabilities in a single experience. With Global Money Platform, banks, fintechs and enterprises can: • STORE fiat and stablecoins side by side, in custodial or self-custody wallets, with real-time conversion and rewards on eligible balances. • SEND stablecoins and local currency globally, with payouts to local bank accounts through Mastercard Move, expanding across 40+ currencies and 200+ markets through 2027. • SPEND stablecoin balances anywhere Mastercard is accepted, with stablecoin-linked cards coming in 2027.
