About the Augmented Reality for Enterprise Alliance

The activities throughout the year including workinars, committees, podcasts and events are a remarkable platform for all companies with interest in XR, not only giving us the chance to present ourselves, but also shape the future of XR. We see the AREA as a platform, cross-linker and companion in the world of XR and believe that we can achieve much more as a community. (3/3)

At CrossComm, we believe Augmented Reality has the potential to transform how we interact with the world around us, but it will require the collective vision and collaboration of pioneers to determine practical solutions and best practices within this new computing paradigm. The AREA is a community that fosters such collaboration – and we are proud to be working alongside other members to see AR reach its fullest potential.

The AREA has been an invaluable organization for the launch of ARGO and our product lines.  The internal committees have provided us with a platform for feedback on product development and the connectivity to the ecosystem via events and customer interactions has supported the development of new customers.  The AREA has depth and their R&D contributions are as valuable as their connectivity in the space.

As a member of the Lockheed Martin AR team, I've seen firsthand the value that the AREA community brings to our organization and the industry as a whole. By facilitating collaboration and knowledge-sharing among augmented reality professionals, The AREA helps to accelerate the development and adoption of AR solutions that drive enterprise excellence. There are two reasons we joined the AREA. Number one, we want to provide immersive training experiences that are effective without putting the hazard in front of the trainee early in their training process. 

And two, figuring out return on investment, figuring out the best approaches within augmented reality to effectively deliver content, and achieve our training mission was the primary reason that we joined the AREA.
