Passion for promarkers #146–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope the weather is better where you are than it is here as it’s wet and wild and staying that way all week if the forecasters are to be believed.  However that’s why crafting is the perfect hobby in this weather as you can stay indoors nice and snug and wile away the hours in your crafting area.

I’m here this morning to share my card for this week’s passion for promarkers challenge and this week the lovely Nic has set the theme of “cut it out”, so basically we want to see all your die cuts.  I’m sure it will be a popular theme.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 146 - cut it out

PFP challenge 146 - cut it out (close up)

I have used a gorgeous digi image from Crafts and Me called Aliah and coloured her with promarkers.  The dies I’ve used are die-namics ‘by the numbers’ dies, spellbinders ‘fleur de lis accents’, circle nesties and magnolia doohickeys swirl from the ‘leaf & swirl’ set.  The beautiful flower was cut from a rose ribbon.  The finished card is 8x8 in size and I made it for my mother’s birthday.

Our sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Creative craft world challenge – use black

Sassy studio designs challenge – flowers and flourishes

Fussy and fancy challenge – punches and dies

Little Claire’s challenge – doing the rounds

Order of the opus gluei challenge – use flourishes

Also I have some exciting news!   We are currently looking for 4 new members to join our team over at PFP – so if you’re interested check out our post on the challenge blog at 10.00am for all the details and the linky you need to use to enter.

I hope you can join in with our challenge this week and I look forward to seeing what you create.  Have a fantastic day and thanks so much for stopping by.

Cupcake craft challenge #187–DT card

** THIS IS MY SECOND POST FOR TODAY **

Please scroll down to see my Stamp with Fun DT card

Hello again dear friends.  I hope you’re all having a good day, although the weather is typical for a bank holiday Monday isn’t it?  It is absolutely chucking it down here – nice weather for ducks lol!

I’m back to share my card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge and the lovely Jane has set the theme and she has chosen “spring is in the air” (just don’t look out the window when you imagine this theme haha!)  It is my auntie’s birthday today so I used this challenge to make her card – Happy Birthday Auntie Celia!  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 187 - spring is in the air

CCC challenge 187 - spring is in the air (close up)

I used a super cute digi image from cc designs called ‘Rosalie with roses’ and I coloured her with promarkers.  The papers are again a mix – the striped paper is SU from the subtles pattern paper designer stack and the flowery paper is basic grey from the ‘hello luscious’ paper pad.  To add to the spring feel I added some flowers and butterflies.

We have two sponsors this week – firstly we have My Creative Classroom who are offering one seat on any Creative Classroom Course in the next year.

MY CREATIVE CLASSROOM

Our second sponsor is Paper Pretties and they are offering one lucky winner 6 images of their choice.

It’s not part of the challenge but I also decorated a brown sack to match my card (as very last minute I realised I didn’t have a gift bag for my auntie’s gift.  It’s very simple but it looks pretty next to the card:

Winter wonderland challenge–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you have all had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend.  Today is the final day of my week off from work so I’m taking my mother out for some lunch and a look around the shops, although she is suffering with her arthritis in her knee at the moment so we’ll probably be having lots of coffee breaks in between (but I’m not complaining as it will be more time to chat and people watch lol!)

I’m here this morning with my card for the new challenge over at winter wonderland challenge.  This week the lovely Marianne has set the theme and she has chosen “it takes two” so she would like to see 2 people/snowmen etc in one image – fairly simple I thought until I couldn’t find any image I had with only two characters!  I had lots with 1 and equally lots with 3 but none with 2 – typical!  So after a quick nip to Pollycraft and I found a super cute image to use and here is my card:

WW challenge - it takes two

WW challenge - it takes two (close up)

As I said the image is from pollycraft and is called ‘snow buds’ and I coloured it with promarkers and flex markers.  The papers are my mind’s eye from the ‘be merry’ paper pad and the kraft card is from dies to die for.  I punched the snowflakes with a MS punch and added cute little heart buttons from my stash.

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp and one lucky winner will receive a £15.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

PFP #139/stamp with fun #151

Good morning dear friends.  I’m sorry for the long absence between posts, I wasn’t feeling 100% last week and had a really bad headache all week.  Fortunately I’m feeling better this week (so far) but that could have something to do with the fact that I have a week off work *woohoo*.

However I’m still dis-organised and have had to combine two of my DT cards – stamp with fun challenge this week is “pink & green” and the new challenge over at passion for promarkers challenge (which I have chosen) is “for mum/female relative”.  I thought I would give you a head start in making your mother’s day cards as it’s only 12 days away!!  However I’m also aware that some of you sadly don’t have a mother to celebrate with so will accept cards for any female relative.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 139 - mother's day or female relative

PFP challenge 139 - mother's day or female relative (close up)

I did have every intention of making a mother’s day card but when my auntie asked me to make her a 2nd birthday card for her great grand-daughter I used this card instead as time was against me (as usual)!  The image is from DigiStamp Boutique and is from the ‘Fairy Hattie collection’.  I coloured her with promarkers and added stickles to her wings.  The papers are do crafts from the gorgeous forever friends ‘new arrival’ designstax and the plain card is SU pink pirouette.  I used a Marianne die for the rolled roses and a die-namics die for the number 2.

Our sponsor this week is the lovely Emma from Crafty Emma’s store and she is offering one lucky winner a £10.00 voucher (excl. p&p) to spend in her online store.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples as always so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for us.

Stamptacular challenge – text me

Flutterby Wednesday challenge – open theme

Aud sentiments challenge – happy birthday

Do you stack up? challenge – things with wings

Simon says stamp challenge – anything goes

I hope you can join in with my challenge this week and I cannot wait to see what you create.  I would like to welcome my newest follower Kelly Smith *waves hello* – I hope you enjoy visiting my blog and will pop by often.  I will hopefully be back later with another card but until then thanks so much for stopping by.

Cupcake craft challenge #180–DT card

Hello again friends.  Don’t faint, I’m back as promised with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge and the lovely Keeley has set the theme and she has chosen “pink fluffy cupcakes”.  So basically we want to see you use pink as the main colour, include something fluffy and at least one cupcake – simples!  Here is my card:

CCC challenge 180 - pink fluffy cupcakes

CCC challenge 180 - pink fluffy cupcakes (close up)

I have used a cute image from The Greeting Farm called ‘cupcake Anya’ and coloured her with a mix of promarkers and flex markers.  The papers are papermania from the ‘sweet nothings’ paper pad and the card is SU.  My “fluffy” part is the flower which I die cut out of felt (1 rolled flower and 2 magnolia doohickey flowers glued together).  I got the felt from dies to die for who are now selling 12x12 pieces in lots of gorgeous colours.  I made this card for my mother to give to her friend and it’s A5 in size.

Our sponsor this week is Prairie Fairy and one lucky winner will receive a $10.00 voucher to spend in their online store.

Stamp with fun #149–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  Oh dear another week has gone by with a poor show from me – sorry!  I don’t know where the time is going; I have really good intentions but then it’s 2am and I’m too tired to blog!!  I promise that I will try and be more organised with my posts this week – starting with today lol!

I’m here this morning to share my card for this week’s stamp with fun challenge and this week we have an easy theme for you of “shapes”.  Here is my card:

SWF #149 - shapes

SWF #149 - shapes (close up)

I’m sorry for the dark photos but the papers were quite vintage-y so I didn’t want to mess around with them too much as it would spoil the overall effect.  I have used a super cute image from Teddy Bo and coloured it with my promarkers and flex markers.  The papers are from my stash (and I’ve had them for ages – no names on them sorry) and the pink card is SU.  The gold mirri card is also from my stash.  The flourish is a Marianne creatables die and I used a MS punch for the butterflies.  I made this card for an order and it’s A5 in size.  The shapes I’ve used are rectangles, circles and hearts.

The rest of the design team have created amazing samples once again this week so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate all the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Fussy ‘n’ fancy challenge – with all my heart

Crafty calendar challenge – love & marriage

Little Claire’s challenge – romance

I hope you can enter our challenge this week and I look forward to seeing what you create.  Even though I’ve been a terrible blogger for the past few weeks I am delighted to discover that I’ve got a few new followers – thank you so much and welcome to Borqna, Leslie Ornelas, Carrie & Lotta Sandra Petterson – I hope you can visit me often.  I’ll be back later with my card for the cupcake craft challenge but until then thanks for stopping by today.

Stamp with fun #143–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  Another Monday and the dreaded start of the working week lol!  I really need to win the lottery so that I can craft all day (which I think is every crafter’s dream).  One good thing about Monday is that I have 2 DT cards to share with you and the first one is for the stamp with fun challenge.  Our theme this week is “calendar” so we want to see all your gorgeous calendar creations for 2012.  I was asked by a friend in work to make a desk-top easel style calendar for her daughter and this is what I made:

SWF #143 - calendar

SWF #143 - calendar (1)

SWF #143 - calendar (close up)

As I was in a bit of a rush I used a pre-coloured die cut image from Lili of the Valley but I did colour the flower and the dots on her dress with a flex marker so that she matched the paper.  It was a fairly basic layout as time was an issue but my friend was happy so that’s the main thing.  The papers are a mixture – the brown striped paper is echo park from the dots & stripes ‘candy shoppe collection’ and the pink paper is echo park from the ‘be mine collection’ (I think!).

The rest of the design team have made gorgeous creations, as always, so please pop over to the challenge blog and check them out.  We really appreciate the lovely comments you leave for us.

I would like to enter my calendar easel-card into the following challenges:

OSAAT challenge – use 3 embellishments (pearls, flowers and punched border)

Lili’s little fairies challenge – new beginnings (new year)

Paper play challenge – Happy new year (calendar)

Crafty catz challenge – a new beginning (new year)

Paper cutz challenge – new year card/project

By the cute and girly challenge – new beginnings (new year)

Cupcake craftroom challenge – anything goes

The squirrel & the fox challenge – something new (new year)

Paper sundaes challenge – saturated colours (2nd entry)

I hope you will be able to join in with our challenge this week and I look forward to seeing what you create.  I’ll be back in a little while with my DT card for this week’s cupcake craft challenge but until then have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by.

Winter wonderland challenge–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  Hasn’t the weather been really shocking this week and I hope you haven’t experienced the awful damage I’ve seen on the TV.  It’s been very windy and wet here but thankfully we haven’t had any problems with flooding or any damage.  I hope you all keep warm, dry and safe.

I’m here this morning to share my DT card for this week’s Winter Wonderland challenge and the lovely Marianne has set the theme and she has chosen “let’s go shopping “ and she would like to see images that are shopping or holding shopping bags etc. .  Our challenge does not have to be for Christmas, although you can if you like, as we don’t start our Christmas only challenges until February.    I really struggled with this challenge as I seem to have misplaced my mojo this week so if anyone has any spare please send it my way lol!  Anyway here is my card:

WW #25 - let's go shopping

WW #25 - let's go shopping (close up)

I used a super cute image from Lori Boyd designs called ‘back to school Lucy’ but I removed her pile of books!  I coloured her using promarkers and flex markers and cut her out with an oval nestie.  The papers are a magazine freebie from quite a while ago and the card (which is really turquoise IRL) is stampin’ up.  The ribbon isn’t quite so dark IRL either but hey-ho my wonderful photography skills at work again!!

We have some new DT members joining us from this week and joining Team Marianne we have Bridget and Karen and joining Team Kate we have Debbie and Lisa.  Welcome girls, I cannot wait to see your wonderful creations.

Our sponsor this week is Crafter’s Companion and the lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in the online store.

Passion for promarkers #130–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  I hope you had a great weekend and have recovered from any self inflicted illnesses lol!  We had a quiet New Year’s Eve and the whole family just chilled out, which was nice though.  I haven’t crafted for so long and I have to say it is taken a toll on both my motivation and my mojo, but I’m sure I’ll soon get into the swing of things.

I’m back this morning as it’s time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers challenge and it seems like forever since we had a new challenge as we had our month long Mega Christmas challenge last month.  I have to say it was wonderful to see all your amazing creations and I really enjoyed visiting your blogs.  I have the honour of setting the challenge this week and I have chosen “thank you” as our theme, as I’m sure like me you still have a few cards to make to thank relatives and friends for their Christmas gifts.

I made a very simple card for this week’s challenge although I have to say I’m really pleased with the finished result.  Here is my card:

PFP challenge 130 - thank you

PFP challenge 130 - thank you (close up)

I used a super cute digi from Saturated Canary digis which is aptly called “thank you” and coloured her with promarkers and flex markers.  I bought some Martha Stewart PATP punches out of my Christmas money and used just the border punch on this card.  The sentiment is from a clear stamp set by personal impressions and I meant to add some pearls but forgot to lol, but as I say I’m really pleased with it anyway!

Our sponsor this week is Letraset and they are offering one lucky winner a prize of a Promarker Stamping kit.

Winter wonderland challenge–DT card

Good morning dear friends.  As there is no passion for promarkers challenge card today I thought I would do a catch-up post and share my card for last week’s winter wonderland challenge.  A huge apology to my fellow DT girlies, I meant to post it Friday evening but then I completely forgot – oops.  However better late than never and there is still time to enter our challenge (phew!).  Our theme is “let it snow” so I know there will be lots of lovely entries for us to drool over.  Here is my card:

WW #23 - let it snow

I have used a super cute image from saturated canary digis called ‘a winter ragamuffin’ and I coloured her with promarkers and flex markers.  The gorgeous papers are echo park from the ‘season’s greetings’ pad and I dug out my neglected MS double loops border punch.

Our sponsor this week is Delicious Doodles and one lucky winner will receive 3 digi images from their online store.
