Sprouts are extremely nutritive food. Adding groundnuts gives proteins, Sesame gives calcium and flax seeds are high in fibre and antioxidants This means it is a powerful salad  ….. so lets have a power packed meal
Ingredients:
Green Moong Whole- 100 grams
Groundnuts – 30 grams
Red chilli whole- 2-3
Flax seeds- 3 tsp
Salt to taste
Lemon juice of half lemon
Sesame seeds-1 tsp
Anar -1/2 bowl
Serves 4
Method:
Soak moong whole after washing, overnight. In the morning hang it in a muslin cloth for 7 to 8 hours or leave in a dish with very little water. The dal sprouts and you see white strings coming out.
Heat the sprouts in microwave or in a pan. Dry roast groundnuts, red chilli whole, flax seeds. Cool and grind to powder.
Mix sprouts, groundnut powder, lemon juice and salt. Sprinkles sesame seeds. Garnish with Anar
Tips : you can add chopped cucumber, onions, tomatoes, green coriander also always partially cook sprouts as raw sprouts can be hard on your digestive system. Pomegranate/ Anar is added to give colour to the dish.
