Rhea Ripley has emerged as one of the most compelling and influential WWE superstars of her generation. Known affectionately as "Mami," Ripley has not only captivated the audience with her powerful in-ring style but also with her unorthodox and bold personality. A significant aspect of her distinctiveness is the extensive collection of tattoos that adorn her body, each carrying its own meaning and story.
In a recent episode of WWE: Tattooed, Rhea Ripley shared the deeply personal significance of her very first tattoo, which she got alongside current AEW star Timeless Toni Storm.Ripley revealed that the tattoo, inscribed as “X. XXVIII,” is located on her wrist. This particular tattoo marks a date of immense importance in her life - it commemorates the WWE Evolution pay-per-view, which holds a dual significance for her.

Interestingly, this date also coincides with the day, six years earlier, when she first tried out for RIOT City Wrestling in Australia. Ripley explained that this date symbolizes both the beginning of her wrestling career and the start of the Women’s Evolution in WWE, a pivotal moment for women in the wrestling industry.
"My first tattoo was… it’s here on my wrist… and it’s the date of the Evolution pay-per-view and I went the day before Evolution with Toni Storm and the funny thing about this date and why it is so special is coz it was the exact same date six years prior that I tried out for RIOT City wrestling in Australia. So it is technically the start of my wrestling career and it is also the start of the Women’s Evolution, which I think was absolutely wild, so we both got matching little tattoos,"
Ripley shared.

Additionally, Ripley emphasized that the Evolution pay-per-view holds another special place in her heart because it was also the first time she had the opportunity to defend her NXT UK Women’s Championship on a grand stage. She was featured in the opening match against Dakota Kai, and the experience of being among the first performers the audience saw at such a landmark event for women in wrestling was unforgettable.
"I not only started wrestling on this date, it was the first time that I got to defend my NXT Women’s UK Championship on a big show, coz it had not been televised that I had won the championship yet. So Dakota and I actually opened Evolution. To go out there and be the first people on the show that everyone sees, it was just a really special day and really was the start of my awesome career here within the WWE," Ripley recalled.
Since that significant pay-per-view, Rhea Ripley has undoubtedly come a long way, establishing herself as a cornerstone of the WWE women’s division. She is set to return to action at WWE’s upcoming Premium Live Event, Bash in Berlin, where she will team up with her "terror twin," Damian Priest. Together, they will face their heated rivals, Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan, in a mixed tag team match that promises to be one of the most exciting showdowns on the card in Germany.
