I like my football usually, but I have very little interest in this World Cup. I'm going to watch England's group games at a fan zone in my local city, but even then I have to travel miles and leave in the middle of the night. It reduces things a lot, IMO.

I just have no hype for it this go around.

So with Devin it's basically leveraging the current LLMS, I'm, using it with Claud Opus 4.6. The way the AI knowledge base is built up within their web environment, using hints and the way it "remembers" flows and instructions on how to do things like compilation tests, runtime tests and what have you is great. As I say, we're getting a lot out of it. Me especially as one of the most senior technical engineers I can drive it well, and get high quality outputs, verified by me, in rapid time. It's cut literal years off a project we're doing.

After this project comes to an end though - who knows. Back to cutting code, I guess. A task for which I've had increasingly less enthusiasm for as the years roll on. I want to be designing and implementing solutions, and using my knowledge to design, validate and verify, not writing screeds of

No - we didn't get good results with Copilot. My team is using Devin extensively, and it actually really does seem to be hugely beneficial for us.

Just starting it, a few days in, so not much to say really, other than the author knows how to draw you in. Looking forward to it. Been ages since I read something that wasn't part of a massive series.

I "defected" from Firefox some time back and wanted to move to a Chromium fork. Vivaldi was the fork of choice.

I remember as a kid one of the first things I was allowed to do by myself was go to the library (high flying childhood from the 70s, lol), and I'd scour the shelves in case there were new Dr. Who? books I hadn't read before. Some properly good old Dalek and Cyberman episodes and books.

Been a big fan since the 70s but it’s due another post McCoy sized hiatus to reset. Hopefully I’m still alive to see what it turns into next. It’s the greatest show in the galaxy.

I usually have explored most all of the map save for mountaintops before fighting Margit, lol. Elden Ring can be as "hard" or as "easy" as you care to make it, with early game Rune availability and map freedom :)

I'll $deity be damned shoot that burd off that ledge in Mogwyn Palace for hour upon hour to get the runes I need and I'll enjoy every minute.

Then I'll start playing the game haha. Yep, every Elden Ring playthrough involves me grinding the troll caravan outside Selen's cave, then the windmill village dancers, until I'm strong enough to make it to bird ledge. Then bird. Endless bird.

Part of the problem then becomes if the other person is either genuinely or disingenuously holding a line that is so abhorrent and diametrically opposed then what do you do? I'd never agree that their position is valid on a point, at all. Especially if my position is one that is frequently mocked and trolled against. It's why I stay away from various topics online now. It just isn't worth it. It's even happened on here.
