Michael Vsauce has a solution for that last part: slap bracelets with the locations of things that were lost for centuries. Whenever you end up*, the bracelet has a couple things on there that are lost and could be found.
How to prove you’re a time traveller - The Rest Is Science (45:27)
*) In the last couple centuries at least, the further back you go, the fewer things are lost.
Came here to say exactly this tbh. Apply analytical math to Earth sphere and discover 2 opposite hemispheres rotating in opposite directions - equal to a ZERO value existence. In other words, 4 Earth Quadrants simultaneously rotate inside 4 Time Cube Quarters to create 4 - 24 hour days within one Earth rotation.
Put a big wind-up key on the back for when it runs out.

The HDM series is pretty good, but it still doesn’t compare to the books. When they found Billy at the end of Northern Lights, that genuinely broke me. In the series it’s more scary research center, action scene, we’re making a rift now. It doesn’t make you feel the horror that Lyra feels when she finds out what they’re actually doing, what even trusted adults are okay with.

And it’s not only about making it small, things also appear small when they’re far away. You want your logo to be recognizable from 2 blocks away or from the top floor of a skyscraper. That’s where distinct outlines and strong contrasts come in. It’s no problem to lose a little detail, but a logo shouldn’t become a blob.

Hoimo@ani.socialto A Boring Dystopia@lemmy.world•The moral priorities of the average American3·14 days agoOh, I don’t see it as apples or oranges, but more like eating or not eating. Stopping people from eating is morally bad and vice-versa, giving people food is morally good. Apply that to gay sex directly without thinking about the implications of the analogy too hard. Ergo, homosexuality is morally good (but so is hetero-, bi- and even asexuality (the analogy breaks down too much)).
Hoimo@ani.socialto A Boring Dystopia@lemmy.world•The moral priorities of the average American4·14 days agoIt doesn’t look like there was an option for “morally good”, so I’d have picked morally acceptable. “Not a moral issue” is for when I’ve never though about it in terms of morals, which automatically excludes any big life decision or matter of personal conviction.
Checked the whole thread to see if the Eurovision train song was mentioned already. Chisinau - Bucharest!
Yeah, I can see that.
But seriously, how much “incest” does the average family tree really have? And I’m drawing the line at great-grandparents, anything less than that is unrelated imo.
Royals were doing multiple generations of first-degree incest, that’s on a completely different level from normal people.

Had to look up if that’s someone’s name or what. It’s Harold Hamsworth, owner and founder of the Daily Mail and unapologetic racist, elitist, nazi piece of shit.
It’s crazy to me that people like this were still allowed to own newspapers after the war. You don’t have to put them against the wall, but you can at least take away their power.
The meteor was, according to NASA, about 2 feet across and weighed 1000 pounds. So their baby elephants are on the lighter side and their corgis are fairly normal size.
I’m going to assume a sphere, 60 centimeters in diameter, and a weight of 450 kg. Volume of the sphere is 113000cm3, which gives us a density of 3,9g/cm3. That’s heavier than most rocks (silicon at 2.3), but much lighter than iron (7.9).

He can tell the difference though. When making an analogy, you can ignore some of the differences to make a point about the similarities. And if there are relevant differences, the question he posed will draw those out. It’s a good question.
It is someone roleplaying as Milo Murphy from the animated series Milo Murphy’s Law. The joke is that Milo is a direct descendant of that Murphy and the Law describes his family.
