If they’re not connected and there isn’t an open network to join, they can’t download updates or anything. They might try to get you to sign in or whatever but you can just back out of those windows and use it like a normal TV. This includes Vizio, Samsung, element, and LG TVs I’ve owned/used

Everybody is obsessed with with copying Reddit here.
Nobody wants to put in the work to build it organically like Reddit was, they just want to press a button and have a bot “seed” content until poof! There’s a community!
It just doesn’t, and won’t ever, work that way.
