The samara? They grow on maple trees. They’re very common here in northern Europe. I have a feeling I’m missing a point.

And thus proving quantum immortality.
residentoflaniakea@discuss.tchncs.deto Unpopular Opinion@lemmy.world•Autism doesn't existEnglish4·1 month agoOn the assumption you’re not trolling: you lack understanding of a core idea, that it isn’t how people behave or what emotions they show that matter but what motivates them to act or feel in a certain context. For example many people have abnormal eye contact, maybe they feel vulnerable or distracted or threatened or maybe they can’t cope with the level of intimacy. Someone with a strict adherence to routine might be goal driven or maybe it is an attempt to regain control or it might be to cope with anxiety that arises from unpredictability. My point is you show clear simplistic view of human psychology which leaves you myopic to grasp true underlying understanding.

residentoflaniakea@discuss.tchncs.deto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What do you call this type of person?...English1·2 months agoMany ‘types’ of people show lack of empathy and callousness and are abrasive. Types don’t matter, calling them out on those matters even less. Traits are helpful though and I’d stick with those as a shield to help yourself in understanding and processing why it is that a person makes you feel that way.
residentoflaniakea@discuss.tchncs.deto Autism@lemmy.world•What's the relation between Autism and ADHD? Why are both often related?English1·2 months agoI don’t think people consider both conditions to be the same spectrum as it then would define the same condition. There might be overlap within the observable behaviour but the neurology that leads to these behaviours is not the same.
