Jerry and I stopped downtown for a bit and looked at the VERY low Mississippi River, enjoyed a train, and checked out some of the ancient signage on the sides of the buildings.

Visitors to Cape Girardeau County will find an abundance of attractions of all varieties. Cape Girardeau itself features a number of historical and cultural museums. Site near Jackson is unusual in that it features both a workable mill and a covered bridge, side by side. Trail of Tears State Park sits on the bluffs outside of Jackson.
