Clash of the titans calibos

Calibos was reportedly a son of the Goddess Thetis . He was supposed to marry Princess Andromeda and become ruler of the rich city of Joppa and all of Phoenicia. However, Calibos was cruel and destructive and he committed unforgivable crimes in the eyes of Zeus the great god of Olympus.

Calibos was played by both a Harryhausen creature, replete with undulating tail, and the talented actor Neil McCarthy. McCarthy would die four years after the film's release at the much too young age of 52.
