First up, I used 1.5 batches of my Swiss Meringue Buttercream (recipe on my blog) and blueberry compote between the layers for this 4 layer 6" cake. 1. Mark out your vertical lines. I evenly spaced 6 of them around the cake using a bench scraper 2. Trace out arches using a toothpick 3. Pipe a pearl border on the vertical lines using a round tip 4. Pipe two mirrored "S" shapes on the top arch using a #21 5. Pipe a ruffle around the bottom and the top using a #125 6. Pipe a large shell border on top of the ruffles using an 8B 7.
