I perform Indian classical dance, Kathak, and this is my instructor. Indian dance usually portrays some kind of story from our sacred book. We tell a story through our dance. Muslim dancing is usually danced in a festive and cultural way. Both Kathak and Muslim dancing are very traditional types of dance that originate from each other long ago. In some dances we have Muslim inspired moves like ‘salaam’, meaning hello, or may the divine be with you.

In art everything is dependent on presentation. Through mime and also through costumes, makeup and hair.
