Mille-Feuille Nabe Japanese Hot Pot
Ingredients— • Napa Cabbage • Thinly sliced (shabu style) beef or pork belly Shimeji mushrooms Broth— • 8 cups water • 1 dashi packet • 3 tbs soy sauce • 3 tbs mirin 1 small piece of kombu Dipping sauces— • Ponzu Deep-roasted Sesame Method— Layer cabbage, meat, and repeat until you have 4-5 layers. Cut stacks into thirds. Start layering from the outside and pack the veggies and meat tightly into your pot. Add dashi broth to cover the ingredients, simmer for a few minutes and you are ready to eat! You can Enjoy this hot pot style or pre-cook on a stove before serving. Skim as necessary!
