How to Make Touch ON-OFF Switch

Introduction

Touch ON-OFF switch is an essential component in many electronic gadgets. It not only helps in the efficient operation of the device but also makes it user-friendly. In this article, we will discuss on How to Make Touch ON-OFF Switch using TTP233 Touch Sensor and BC547 transistor.

The TTP233 Touch Sensor is a commonly used touch sensor in various applications. Its easy-to-use interface and versatility make it ideal for creating touch-sensitive projects.

Explanation of How to Make Touch ON-OFF Switch

What is TTP233 Touch Sensor?

The TTP233 is a touch sensor module that is used to detect human touch. It can be used as a touch switch or as a touch sensor. The TTP233 sensor module uses capacitive touch technology to detect touch, which is a popular technology used in touch sensors due to its high sensitivity and low power consumption.

The TTP233 touch sensor consists of three pins: VCC, OUT, and GND. The VCC is the power pin that supplies the module with a voltage of 3.3V to 5V. The OUT pin is the signal output pin that indicates whether the module has detected touch or not. Finally, the GND pin is the ground pin, which is connected to the ground of the power source.

Steps to Make Touch ON-OFF Switch

Step 1: Gather the Necessary Components

The first step in making a touch ON-OFF switch using the TTP233 touch sensor is to gather all the necessary components. The complete list of components is already provided above in Components List section.

Step 2: Connect the Circuit

Once you have all the necessary components, you can start connecting the circuit. The first step is to connect the power supply connections to the positive and negative rails of the breadboard. Then fix the relay to the breadboard, and connect positive supply to its pin-1. Then connect the diode 1n4148 from pin-1 to pin-2 of the relay.

Now connect pin-1 of BC547 to pin-2 of relay. Connect 100 ohm resister to pin-1 of BC547 and other side of resister to LED’s negative. Attach LED’s positive to positive supply.

Fix one 3-pole terminal to the breadboard for output. Connect its center pin to the common pin of th relay and the both sides of pins of terminal block will be connection to the VCC & GND of the relay. Also connect pin-3 of BC547 to the ground.

Finally, connect the TTP233 touch sensor module to the breadboard and make the following connections:

  • Connect the VCC pin of the TTP233 touch sensor module to the 5V pin of the Arduino board.
  • Connect the GND pin of the TTP233 touch sensor module to the ground of the Arduino board.
  • Connect the OUT pin of the TTP233 touch sensor module to the pin 2 of BC547 in series with 10k ohms resister.

Conclusion

By following the above steps, you can make a touch ON-OFF switch using the TTP233 touch sensor. This touch-sensitive switch can be used in various electronic gadgets and can make them more user-friendly. The TTP233 touch sensor module is an easy-to-use and versatile touch sensor that uses capacitive touch technology to detect touch. It is a popular technology used in touch sensors due to its high sensitivity and low power consumption.
