The Tyk way
Tyk was born out of frustration with the rigid, expensive, and overly complex API management solutions dominating the market. Our founders saw developers struggling with platforms that dictated how they should work rather than adapting to how they wanted to work.
So they built something different: an API gateway that was lightweight, performant, and genuinely developer-friendly. What began as a small open-source project quickly gained traction, resonating with teams who were tired of vendor lock-in and black-box platforms.
Today, Tyk has grown into one of the world’s most flexible API management platforms, trusted by hundreds of organizations, from ambitious startups to Fortune 500 enterprises.
