The UCP Checker & Validator
for agentic commerce
Check any merchant's Universal Commerce Protocol readiness, validate profiles against the spec, and get your store ready for the AI shopping agents reshaping commerce — discoverable by Google's AI Mode and Gemini today, as ChatGPT, Claude, and every assistant move shopping into the chat.
Every store gets a score.
A single 0–100 grade that tells AI agents whether your store is worth recommending — three weighted categories rolled into one number, with copy-paste fixes for every gap. The SSL-Labs grade for agentic commerce.

We independently monitor 23,916 domains, re-checked every 24 hours — the neutral, continuously-updated index of who's ready for AI agents. Methodology fully documented and auditable.
We don't just read the profile. We test what an agent actually does.
Most checks stop at the profile. We measure both sides of the protocol — what a store declares, and what actually happens when an agent shows up. The gap between the two is where the truth lives.
Checker — we read the profile
Discovery & conformance. We fetch every store's /.well-known/ucp, validate it against the spec, and re-check it regularly — breadth across the whole market, kept up to date.
Playground — we run the agent
Runtime verification. We act as a real agent — search, add to cart, reach checkout — and confirm what genuinely works, not just what's declared. Depth: what an agent actually experiences.
That's why the UCP Score is grounded in real agent behaviour — not just a profile scan — and why it's the score the market trusts.
The protocol AI agents use to shop
Universal Commerce Protocol turns any storefront into a machine-readable surface for AI shopping agents. UCP Checker monitors 23,923+ stores in real time so you can see what works, what breaks, and what's next.
One JSON file at /.well-known/ucp
Stores publish a single profile declaring services, capabilities, transports, and payment handlers. AI agents fetch it on first contact to understand what the store supports.
Spoken by Google, ChatGPT, and Claude
Every major shopping agent reads UCP profiles for product discovery and checkout. Without one, your store is invisible to agentic commerce.
Compliance is not binary
A valid profile can still fail under load. We measure latency, freshness, capability coverage, and stability — not just whether the file parses.

The latest agent runs, store by store
We commission real shopping sessions against verified stores and record what the agent could actually do — search, add to cart, reach checkout. These are the 6 most recent.
Commissioned runs only, made in UCP Playground and stopped before payment. Organic Playground traffic is never shown here.
Everything you need to ship UCP

From discovery to monitoring in three steps
No SDK, no code changes. Paste a URL and UCP Checker handles crawling, validation and continuous monitoring for you.
We fetch your profile
Our crawler requests /.well-known/ucp with proper headers, TLS verification, and a 2-second timeout matching real agent latency budgets. We also audit robots.txt for AI bot access policies across GPTBot, Google-Extended, ClaudeBot, and more.
We validate against the spec
The JSON response is parsed and run through version-aware validation matching the declared spec. Required fields, capabilities, transports, and payment handlers are each checked individually with detailed error codes.
We monitor and alert
Results are stored with timestamps and published on canonical status pages. We re-check every 24 hours, track ecosystem trends, and send alerts when a store's UCP status changes.
See agentic readiness on every store you visit
Free Chrome extension that probes /.well-known/ucp as you browse. Capabilities, payment handlers, transports, and AI bot access — all in one click.
Instant Detection
Automatically probes /.well-known/ucp on every storefront. Capabilities, payment handlers, transports, and spec version revealed in milliseconds.
AI Bot Visibility
