Fancom, a portmanteau of ‘fan’ and ‘community’, is a term we introduced at the beginning of the year to represent our shift away from marketing to fans as homogenised groups and into a more nuanced approach that offers a better understanding of how to connect to today’s more discerning consumer while also offering concentric growth opportunities by inviting more communities in.
The report has been penned by our brilliant passion specialists across our strategy, creative, events, social, influencer, sponsorship and PR teams and, to bring the theme of Togetherness home, we invited our colleagues from M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment across the globe to contribute, with insights from our teams in London, North America, Berlin, Amsterdam, Sydney and Johannesburg.
