A personal work I did for a course I was teaching on Mental Ray.

This alchemy study room belongs to the king and is located in the castle tower.

I always wanted to make something with stained glass. This image includes some things that I like, see if you can find them all: - The Lord of the Rings book - Tea - Cat - Quartz formation - Mahler Symphony No. 8 I modeled most things in 3d Studio Max and posed the cat in Zbrush. Grooming with Hair and Fur, rendered with Corona.

All sorts of things are funny - life is funny, puppies and kittens are funny, and so is your cousin Jerry. It is impossible to pick just one! That's why we've scoured the Internet for all that's hilarious and put it all into one page, so you don't have to search!

I've been working on making this scene in my spare time. I really wanted to do a nice dingy little cluttered environment piece. I went off on one a bit with painting the stained glass window - never really sure how well it was sitting in the environment overall - but I enjoyed making it and playing with its lighting effects in UE4. Almost all the textures were created in Substance Designer with masks, for stuff like patterns, painted in Photoshop then fed into the Substance Graphs. A few…
