an open card with deer, moose and birds in the woods on it that says happy birthday

One of my Uncles is turning 70 years old this weekend and for the first time in his life he will have a birthday party that will be a surprise! (sssshhhhhh don't tell him! *S*) I can't be there so I made him a Wildlife birthday card and mailed it to him. This is a tri-shutter fold...a little different when you open, so he might need help when he receives it! The stamps are all from Stampin Up except the sentiment. That one came from Fiskars Make a Wish Quote Set. To make the moose stand out…

Masculine Birthday Card The top is the outside, and the bottom is what I stamped inside. I made two cards. I wanted to show how I stamped the inside.

And on to Father's Day...... This stamp is from Northwoods Rubber Stamps and I thought it was a good one to start Father's day cards with. I shaded edges with ink and then a small amount of color on deer with Prismas. Embossed panel with Sizzix/Tim Holtz EF and shaded some ink over it. DAD stamp is Verve Stamps. #1 done on computer. Leaves are Cheery Lynn die. TFL. : )

a birthday card with buttons and a deer

This card is for Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 191. It also works for Seize the Birthday. The moment I saw this deer image in the Holiday Catalog I knew it was one I had to have. It's perfect for making masculine cards. Plus it's a switch from your regular holiday images. I think you could be pretty creative with this! I paired the deer image with the wood image from Truly Grateful, also out of the Holiday Catalog. It reminds me of some wood paneling we had in a house when I was growing up…

Our featured stamper, Chrissy a.k.a. DancesWithHooves has a wonderful gallery. I went with this card that she made for her FIL: https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2837905?&cat=500&ppuser=56759 I changed the card color, added some DSP and changed the deer head mount. Congratulations, Chrissy. Enjoy your time in the spotlight. TFL

Last week's challenge for a FB group I am a part of was to make a "masculine" card. I am a tad bit behind, but didn't want to miss making a card. I have lots of stamp sets that are "manly"~ I picked an older Stampin' UP! stamp set called Noble Deer. Here is my card: SUPPLIES: card stock: brown, tortilla pattern paper: MME Paris & Co. stamps: Stampin' UP! Noble Deer, Lizzie Anne Designs DAD stamp ink: Stampin' UP! Early Espresso accessories: Scor-Pal, Photo Corner Punch, Circle Punch and…

a card with an image of a deer in the snow and trees, on a wooden surface

I am loving my new stamp set, Nature's Beauty--although I do admit to having a love-hate relationship with deer! Having grown up in Wyoming and now living in Wisconsin, I admire their elegance and always feel blessed when I spot them in the wild. But it's sure no fun when they bound out in front of your car or ruin your garden! Our deer STAMP, however, never causes trouble! Peacefully alert but unafraid, it stands at the edge of the woods, making the perfect image for masculine, fall…
