Last week I was suddenly taken very ill. A mild sore throat randomly became invasive and I developed sepsis, one of the biggest killers in the developed world. It's thanks to a whole bunch of amazing NHS staff and nearly a week in hospital on IV antibiotics that I am here now. 6 days before I was taken ill one of my oldest friends, Sonia was fighting sepsis herself in the same hospital. She sadly didn't make it. This image was made in her honour.
