Because your GPA shouldn't be a speedrun to zero.
We’re a fast, student made, set of indices for data from University of Toronto. That means, we have real ratings, real drop rates (soon™), real course data, program data, real course trees (that costs a lotta 💰), real professors (yeah no one else has that, I checked), and no stale data.
Rare for UofT studentsand even the good sources go stale. UofT Index runs on live data: fetched, cleaned, and processed every day.
Ever used Degree Explorer? Somehow the world’s best programmers are allergic to fast, intuitive UI. We built everything to be quick, usable, and easy.
No one else is. Want our scrapers, our database, or our data sources? Just reach out — they’re yours.
We talked to professors, students, TAs — literally everyone — to figure out what they actually wanted.
Everyone dislikes the registrar: the endless requirement pages, the unreadable prerequisite lists, the LITERAL conflicting requirements, the surprises - oh, and posting on Reddit every semester to ask about a course. So we sourced data directly from UofT and put it all into a format you can actually read.
And our killer feature lives at /tree — inspired by Courseography made by Professor David Liu.
It lays out your major, minor, specialist, or whatever you’re doing as a visual tree.
We’re transparent about every data source, cost, and trade-off — read the full methodology.
