These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Coda, a macOS application developed and maintained by Simply Fluent ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Coda, you agree to these Terms.

License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Coda on macOS devices you own or control, subject to these Terms.

• Coda is provided as a beta product and availability may change over time.
• Access to specific features may evolve as the product develops.
• Use of Coda is per-user and may not be shared, sublicensed, or transferred to others.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application.
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on Coda.
• Redistribute, sell, or sublicense the application or any part of it.
• Use the application for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to bypass access controls or feature restrictions.

Intellectual Property

Coda and all associated content, including but not limited to the software, design, documentation, and branding, are the intellectual property of Simply Fluent. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or other brand elements.

Your Data

Coda runs entirely on your local machine. Your projects, configurations, logs, and environment variables are stored locally and are never transmitted to our servers. You retain full ownership and control of your data at all times.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Coda is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Simply Fluent shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of Coda.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Coda at any time if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the application is revoked. Sections regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Coda after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
