Breaking down the old version of yourself and trying to figure out which pieces you want to pick back up. Growing older, watching the colors of life fade away. While still being expected to maintain your sanity. That is the premise behind the single “Becoming”. Change is inescapable and inevitable. We don’t know how much things hurt us or help us, until they’re gone. These are the highs and lows of life that keep the heart beating.

“Becoming” is the first new single with our singer Jonah Smith, in over 5 years. To have this one be the first song released since our 3-track EP “re:selection” is very special. Sonically, it encaptures our influences and our style, perfectly. This is the future of Decoy. This is what we are Becoming.
