JC Where do I begin? What if Nothing fully embraced crushing heaviness, a little black metal, and ratcheted the emotive melancholic darkness up to 11? Not to mention doing it while being captivating for two full LP’s? That is this album right here. I took a chance and bought this album on LP and it blew me away. This is a completely essential buy for sure for me. Varaha fan for sure right here and looking forward to anything else they put out now. Literally can’t get over how excellent this is.

pinkytheent This record is definitely a slow-burner, like a dark Van Gogh. It’s a testament to a work’s strength that even if you aren’t sure you’re in the mood for something, it pulls you into its mood anyway. The melodies are mournful and heart-tugging, the instruments sound great, and the strings and brass parts are tasteful and fitting. A music has true weight when it feels like a leaden anchor while many of the passages are gently-plucked clean guitar. Favorite track: Climax & Exile.

coldblackmoon I’m a sucker for the title track. This whole experience hits me like a huge wave, crashing down over me. It takes what is left in my chest, rips it out, and lays it in the light to be examined... only to find there is no salvation or retribution... only what is. Very dramatic, the echoes carry you away to the voids of your own subconscious, forcing you to feel the things you don’t want to feel. Love this band. Favorite track: A Passage for Lost Years.
