How setup works everywhere
The flow is the same on every platform, and there are no files to manage:
- Download the vpn.now app for your device.
- Sign in with your account, or paste your activation code.
- Pick a location and press connect.
Your device's key is created on the device itself and never leaves it. We keep only the matching public key, so even we cannot impersonate your device. Read more on our security page.
Your keys stay yours
Your device's private key is created on the device and stays there. You can rotate it any time from the dashboard.
Every device counts once
Your plan's device limit covers any mix of computers, phones, and tablets. Swap devices whenever you like.

The vpn.now app is available for Mac, Windows, Linux, and Chromebook today: install it, sign in or paste your activation code, and connect. Apps for iPhone and Android, plus our browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, and Opera, are coming soon. Until they land, you can connect on those platforms with the official tunnel app and your vpn.now config, the same open source code the rest of the industry trusts, with nothing proprietary to take on faith.
Native iPhone, Android, and browser extension apps are coming next. Each one brings one-tap connect, a built-in kill switch, and easy location switching. We would rather ship a small number of solid apps than rush a long list of weak ones, the same way we chose one protocol and built everything around our VPN protocol.
