Will PRO ever become a subscription?
No. WebSSH PRO is and will remain a one-time lifetime purchase : every feature that runs on your device is included, forever, with FREE regular updates.
Some upcoming features rely on servers that WebSSH runs around the clock. Because that infrastructure has a recurring cost, those cloud-powered services are grouped under WebSSH Link, an optional subscription that is separate from PRO. Nothing you already own moves behind it: everything WebSSH Link offers can also be done, in one form or another, with the third-party providers already built into the app. Your PRO purchase keeps its full value, always.
It's too expensive!
Since 2012, WebSSH has been sustained and maintained as an indie app supported by a one-time purchase, with regular monthly updates provided for FREE. No hidden costs.
If you think the price is too high, please consider the effort I put into making WebSSH an awesome sysadmin tool for you. The price supports ongoing development and maintenance of the app.

WebSSH PRO is — and will always remain — a one-time lifetime purchase. If you would like to go further, WebSSH offers WebSSH Link, an optional monthly or yearly subscription available in the app (Settings → WebSSH Link, formerly the WebSSH Developer Tip).
WebSSH Link gives access to the cloud services operated by WebSSH itself: services that need a server running 24/7 and therefore have a recurring cost. Every one of them has a counterpart you can use for free with a third-party provider already built into the app, so nothing is taken away from FREE or PRO users: WebSSH Link is the way to run these services on WebSSH's own infrastructure, and to support the development of the app further.
